The 4th of July is right around the corner. When it comes to recipes and ideas to celebrate Independence Day, we have shared dozens of ideas over the years. So we thought a helpful post would be to put them all in one post and when we rounded up all of the ideas on our site, we found 59 patriotic recipes & DIY for the 4th of July!

That’s a lot of ideas! Most of the ideas are for recipes, most for something sweet for a dessert for your celebrations and parties, but we also have some healthier and savory red, white and blue food recipes for your meals and BBQ’s that day.

Plus, you will also find some home decor and DIY apparel that has a patriotic theme!

The 4th of July is one of the biggest nationwide parties, and we know plenty that have spent a pretty penny! But we feel that we have had just as much fun and a party with a “BIG BANG” without that pretty penny. We’ve mustered up some fun and a lot these recipes and ideas were created with us using items we already had at home/in the fridge/in the pantry, and turn them into something festive for the 4th. Most of the recipes require simple or affordable ingredients.

One of my favorites is actually one of the cheapest, easiest and simplest – the Watermelon Pops. My kids LOVE these! It’s so simple that it is simply dumb – just slice watermelon, then use a star cookie cutter to make star shapes. Stick a popsicle stick in the bottom and freeze! That’s it! Watermelon is cheapest in July, so it’s always a huge hit because it’s cold, refreshing, cheap, easy, and HEALTHY!

My other favorite is actually the handprint flag t-shirts! I love the memories and the “hand” made creations. 🙂

I also like the no-bake treats. It’s hot in July! And so no-bake desserts are a fabulous idea.
