Make it quicker:

  • Use canned biscuits and cut each biscuit into 6-8 pieces and roll in the balls.
  • Add the balls of peanut butter and dough into the ziplock bag with the sugar and cinnamon. Shake bag until all pieces are coated. This is faster, but do it gently!

Make it healthier:

  • Use a whole wheat dough from scratch or from cans.
  • Add ground flax seeds in your mixing process.
  • Use freshly ground peanut butter with no added sugar and a low sugar jelly.

Make it gluten-free:

  • Use an all-purpose gluten-free flour to make a dough (and you can use this homemade gluten-free mix recipe)

    The recipe name
Pull Apart Peanut Butter and Jelly Monkey Bread attracted me first. Then I gave it a read and felt more attracted to try it. I did only one change. I tried the recipe with pure cow ghee instead of using unsalted butter. I liked my experiment. The ghee-bread tasted well.

Pull-apart monkey bread is quite easy recipe to make. The only ingredients that you need are a baking sheet, a spatula, and peanut butter. The dough will look like a fluffy marshmallow when you take it out of the mixing bowl and put it on the baking sheet or on a flat surface.
