This is a sample from a previous organic basket!

Today we decided to get an organic basket of produce again from Bountiful Baskets.  As the springtime continues into summer, we will probably not be getting very many baskets from Bountiful Baskets co-op and the baskets haven’t been that great the last couple of weeks.

HOWEVER, this week, they have an incredible price on blueberries this week and so it was hard not to pass up ordering this week.  Besides, the local farmer’s markets haven’t kicked in yet, so we can’t get our produce that way this year yet!

They have many options, but we just did the $25 organic basket and the 12 pints of blueberries for $44 plus the $1.50 fee.

We’ve been told by many professional gardeners that it is near impossible to grow blueberries in the soil we live in here, but I so wish I could! Well, I am glad to have this deal this week as blueberries are our favorite.  But…. I also found a great way to grow blueberries and that is in a container in the right soil that you can control.  I am going to try it, but it will be some time before we have any, so a good deal on blueberries in the meantime is always welcome!

Here’s what I ordered for Saturday’s pickup:

If you want to see if they are available in your area too, then…

Head to Bountiful Baskets HERE and choose your state and then a pick-up location closest to you from the drop-down menu.

If Bountiful Baskets is not in your state yet, either contact them to see what they need to start one or keep watching for them to open up in your state too! They are rapidly growing and rapidly opening other states.  We have been fortunate to have been the first state and so we have been able to do this for quite some time!

*Please note, you only have until tomorrow night (Tuesday, June 4th) at 10pm PST to order your produce for this week for pick-up on Saturday at a local location!

Also, to fully understand what we are talking about, you do need to read this article HERE.

[…] and order a few cases at this “on-day only” sale price.  Also, even just this week, I showed how I bought, 12 containers of blueberries for $17.50, which is a really, really good price…. Blueberries are very easy to freeze, just throw them in a ziploc unwashed and then freeze them.  […]
