Do you love radishes? Well, we don’t.  But they are so good for you, so we wanted to find a way to prepare radishes in a yummy way, other than just slicing for salads.  So we dinked around with some of our favorite kitchen staples and created an amazing dish – one that will turn any radish hater into a honey roasted radish lover. This Honey Roasted Radishes Recipe is just that ticket!

This is a new, fantastic way to prepare your next batch of radishes.  We’ve found that this couples well with most proteins, but especially pork and fish.

How To Make Honey Roasted Radishes

Ingredients for Honey Roasted Radish Recipe:

  • 4 cups of radishes
  • 1 TBSP Coconut Oil Melted (you can also use olive oil, we just love coconut oil)
  • 3 TBSP Fresh Lemon Juice or about 1 small lemon or 1/2 of a large lemon
  • 3 TBSP honey (we love to use local raw honey)
  • Dashes of pepper

Directions for Honey Roasted Radish Recipe:

  • Wash radishes and cut the stems/roots off. Then cut them in half/thirds/quarters depending on how big they are.
  • Mix your sauce by whisking all of the other ingredients together in a bowl until well blended.

  • Pour the sauce over the washed and cut radishes and mix well and evenly.

  • Spread the coated radishes onto a greased cookie sheet or glass cake pan, trying to make an even layer.
  • Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes until the outside begins to crisp a little and turn brown (the insides will still be soft).
  • Serve warm and immediately
  • Enjoy!

  • We have found that these are best prepared with your meal and do not make great leftovers, unless reheated in the oven for an additional 5 minutes or so on 400 degrees.  Microwaving later just makes them soggy.

There you have – a NEW fantastic way to enjoy this garden staple.  It is a very unique, but delicious combination of flavors and tastes.  Our kids even liked this! It was much like trying to find a new way to prepare Brussels Sprouts.  Just took a little trial and error and now it is one of our favorites. 🙂

Speaking of which, be sure to check out the Pan-Fried Brussels Sprouts recipe too! Two hated foods now that may become some of your family’s favorites.
