This recipe is AWESOME! It is so, so good, refreshing, unique, fun and a WOW factor to boot!

You can make a WOW dessert very easily too.  This takes just a couple of ingredients and a short amount of time.  This is our favorite ice cream dessert.

First, thought when you see these in real life – it is so pleasing to the eye and so pretty.  And then, you can that crunchy, creamy, dreamy taste of your first spoonful and you will be hooked!

Here’s what you need:

  • Plain vanilla ice cream
  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Caramel syrup
  • Whipped topping
  • Cherry for fresh berry on top

How to make it:

  • Using an ice cream scoop, place single scoops (one scoop for each serving you need) on a cookie sheet with wax paper.

  • Stick these in your freezer for at least 30 minutes.  You want them to get really firm (so they can tolerate intense heat).
  • While the ice cream is freezing, you want to get your crust ready.  To do this, simply crush 1/3 cup of Cinnamon Toast Crunch per serving in a bowl.  So if you are wanting to serve 2, you would crush 2/3 cups. For 6 servings, you would crush 2 cups, etc.

And now it’s crushed!

  • Now it is time to coat your ice cream in the cinnamon sugar crust.
  • We leave the pan with the ice cream scoops in the freezer and just pull out one scoop at a time.  Basically, just roll each scoop in the crushed cereal and fill-in empty spots and place it back on the pan in the freezer. Repeat with all scoops!  You do need to remove the was paper before broiling, so you can do this now before the second hardening off.
  • Now they need a second hardening off time, based on how much time you have maybe 10 minutes to 2 hours.
  • When you are ready to serve, turn your oven to a high broil and move the top rack about 6 inches from the broiler. Then get the bowls and toppings out and ready.  You don’t have tons of time before it will start to melt!
  • Pull the pan out of the freezer (remove wax paper if you haven’t done that yet) and stick it in the oven for 30-40 seconds to “fry” it!
  • Then pull it out of the oven and use tongs to place it in each bowl and quickly squirt your chocolate and caramel sauces, spray on whipped topping and top with your fruit…. serve immediately!
  • Enjoy!

Now enjoy this eye candy as I am salivating putting these pictures in here! 🙂
