Want to learn how easy it is to make Cranberry Orange Cookies with Orange Peel Glaze? Well, it’s time for our next homemade dessert recipe of the season! Cranberry and orange exude nothing but Christmastime and combining them in a cookie is absolutely amazing!  Although this is the perfect cookie for Christmas, it’s really refreshing and delicious any time of the year.

Cranberry Orange Cookies with Orange Peel Glaze

How To Make Cranberry Orange Cookies

Ingredients needed for Cranberry Orange Cookies:

  • 1 stick of unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 C white sugar
  • 1 C grated oranges 
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 C flour
  • 2 C dried cranberries
  • 2 C white chocolate chips 

Directions for Cranberry Orange Cookies

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper
  • In a standing mixer, cream butter, orange peel, sugar until fluffy 
  • Add in the egg
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. 
  • Gradually mix into the wet ingredients
  • Mix in the cranberries and white chocolate chips
  • Scoop some batter with a small ice cream scoop onto the baking sheet, two inches apart. 
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes
  • While cookies are baking make the glaze

Directions for the Orange Peel Glaze for Cranberry Orange Cookies

 Mix together 1/2 C orange peel, 1 C powder sugar, 1/4 C orange juice drizzle onto warm cookies after the cookies are placed on a wire rack.
