Have you ever had Collision Dessert Bars before? Well, they are basically a cookie and brownie in one delicious, mouth-watering dessert explosion.

Seriously, a cookie and brownie in one. It’s such a great idea! And there are many ways to make collision bars and different combinations. Honestly, you cannot go wrong mixing most any cookie recipe with most any brownie mix. Then you can triple the dessert excitement by adding bits of coordinating candy on top – perfect to turn the basic recipe into any seasonal and themed recipe (like different colored m&m’s for the seasons/holidays, etc.)

You can make the cookies and brownies from scratch, or you can make this from store-bought cookie and brownie mixes.

Today, we are going to show how to make these with a classic homemade chocolate brownie and a classic homemade chocolate chip cookie. It’s just nice to have a “from scratch” recipe, but again, this recipe is super versatile!

There you have it! Now, here’s the great news. The above recipe is the most complicated it gets. From here, you can make the completely from scratch version or modify it with your own homemade secret brownie and cookie recipes, or use the store-bought mixes to save a lot of time!

The classic chocolate brownie and chocolate chip cookies are amazing but here’s some other variations that are truly delectable:

  • Chocolate Brownie with Peanut Butter Cookies and Reese’s Pieces or cut up Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups on top (on top after baking)
  • Mocha Fudge Brownies with Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies (think yummy breakfast ;))
  • Cheesecake Swirl Brownies with White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies
  • Blondie Brownie with White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies
  • Maple Blondie Brownies with Gingerbread Cookies
  • Red Velvet Brownies with Sugar Cookies
  • Caramel Brownies with Snickerdoodle Cookies
  • Birthday Collision Bars by Making Blondie Brownies with sprinkles and then Funfetti Sugar Cookies

There’s just a few combinations, but you could probably come up with many, many more!

Finally, you can print this recipe for convenience as well! Don’t forget that you can also use the stand alone homemade brownies or chocolate chip cookies too! They are great recipes on their own.

Oh wow , that was an oversight! I use a 9×13 since they will be double thickness or normal brownies. Otherwise your servings will be very thick!
