I am not completely sure – but if the actual purchased membership is not in your name, I would assume you would be fine since you are not the actual owner.

I just did almost the same thing, my current membership is in my name. I bought this one under my husbands name. We let my grandma use the second card in her name.
When my membership expires in January, we will redeem our voucher and being Gran along for a new photo op. lol

How often do they run these specials? Our card renews in the spring. We’ve picked up the membership every spring for 32 years, So, getting a discount would be great!

The great Sam’s price & incentives are for new memberships only, not renewals; I checked the small print on the purchase offer . . . and was very disappointed.

Does anyone know…if you let your membership lapse for 6 months can you pick up the next deal they offer as if you are a new member?
In response to VJM’s question about how often this deal is offered… I saw a discounted deal (with coupon incentives) advertised sometime this past summer through Groupon, but the upgrade to Premium membership is a new incentive to me.

It’s in the form of a paper voucher that is generated to the website and you print it out and take it to Sams Club to be redeemed. 🙂

there isnt one for frederick county MD. if I take the montgomery county one can it be used at any sams club

I would assume that any Sams Club could redeem the voucher. It’s all done electronically and the membership are good anywhere.
Call your local Sams Club and ask, they’re pretty lenient on a lot of stuff.
