We have another fun, frugal, festive recipe to share with you today. The homemade hot cocoa recipes and the homemade bulk hot cocoa mix are some of the most popular recipes on our site. We’ve had a lot of fun sharing frugal alternatives with you. So in this post, we want to share something that is really fun to make and really festive!
This is one of our favorite things to make and share with you. White Chocolate Snowflake Stirrers that melt in your cup of hot cocoa!
Last year, we shared how anyone (artist or not) can create some fun chocolate designs for the tops of cupcakes and more.
Well, this one uses a similar concept but attaches to a straw for very festive snowflake stirrers that melt in the homemade hot cocoa (links to our hot cocoa recipes below). It’s a very cool way to enjoy your delicious hot cocoa!
How to make White Chocolate Snowflake Stirrers
Ingredients:
- 1 cup White Chocolate Candy Melts/Discs
- White Sugar
- 15-16 Snowflake Straws
- Sandwich size Baggie
Directions
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Now take your white chocolate discs and put in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue to do this until discs are all melted.
- Add melted chocolate to a sandwich baggie.
- Snip the corner just a little.
- On your parchment paper, pipe out snowflakes (if you need a little help, print out the size of snowflake you want and stick it under the parchment paper to trace).
- Then sprinkle with Sugar.
- Let dry for about 5 minutes.
- Next, take your melted chocolate and squeeze a bit directly on the straw towards the bottom,
- stick snowflake on chocolate.
- Let dry for another 5 minutes.
- Then they are ready to dunk and stir and melt in your Hot Cocoa!!
