We enjoyed a wonderful weekend with some dear friends from out of town! If you were watching our Facebook page, we even posted a cool video with a new zoo exhibit in our area with Polar Bears. Polar Bears are my favorite animal and the last time I saw them swimming and this up close and personal was on our honeymoon 13 years ago to Oregon at the Portland Oregon zoo. Yes, that famous honeymoon where we started our marriage jumping quickly into debt and even had to get a loan on our honeymoon to check out of the hotel. But I did get to see my favorite animal in a cool exhibit there.
So it was so cool that we have something like that now close to home. And what was even cooler was now being debt-free and there with our family of seven and a dear friends watching this beautiful creature!

Well with all of that, to be honest, I didn’t get the diaper deals done today. They are half way done, but since they take me several hours, I was so exhausted that I decided to give you one of the better deals tonight and the rest on Monday. So my frugal friends – I am sorry I didn’t get them fully done yet, but I will get to it first thing Monday and posted early! Honestly, it doesn’t look like it is a super week anyway, so this really is one of the better deals.
So with that said – here’s one of the better deals this week. Walgreens has their brand of diapers jumbo packs on sale for buy one get one 50% off, 7/22-7/28/12. This is a 25% discount per pack, which is not a bad price in the end.
This is also a great sale to donate diapers to someone in need or a local pregnancy center.
Scenario:
- Buy 2 Walgreens Jumbo pack diapers for $8.99 each = $17.98
- Then receive one of them for 50% – $4.50 = final is $13.48 for two packs or $6.74 each
You can also take advantage of this deal online, plus if you spend $25 or more, you will also receive FREE shipping. PLEASE NOTE, there is an extra shipping charge for packages over 10 lbs. 4 packs of diapers will be over 10 lbs., so you will need to pay a shipping overage.
