We have recently shared our Breakfast in a Pumpkin, which is a HUGE hit because is it so tasty, a natural combination, easy, frugal and oh so fine!

Well, another GREAT dish inside of a pumpkin is Turkey Dinner in a Pumpkin. It’s like an all-in-one classic turkey dinner casserole, baked inside of a pie pumpkin, served from the pumpkin and all thrown away in the end.

It is easy to make.

It is a beautiful presentation.

It tastes amazing.

It is disposable for ease in clean-up.

At the end of it, you really can’t go wrong!

The ingredients are simple and frugal too.

Here’s how to make Dinner in a Pumpkin!

Ingredients needed for Dinner in a Pumpkin:

  • 1 6oz. bag of frozen cut green beans

Also, you can turn this into an AMAZING gift for someone, but also be frugal at the same time. We’ve created a packaged version of this recipe and you can gift to someone to have an all-in-one turkey dinner in a pumpkin, or in a casserole pan. I will give brief instructions on this one.

breadcrumbs-spicesin-bag

  • In a baggie, add 6 oz. dried stuffing bread (about 3 cups), 1 tsp. celery seed, 2 TBSP. of dried onion,1.5 TBSP Italian Seasoning and shake it all together
  • In a separate ziploc, add 1/2 cup of Craisins and stick it into the top of the bread bag to be all in one. I then make it “pretty” by placing this in a themed bag to go into the basket.

  • Then, in a basket, gift bag or however you plan to “gift” this, add:
  • 1 can chicken broth (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can of cut green beans
  • 1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 10 oz. can of turkey breast
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • Then a pumpkin or 9×11 aluminum casserole pan

Note:I got the Thanksgiving themed tray from Hobby Lobby, but if you do this without the pumpkin, you can put everything in the aluminum casserole pan as the holding tray!

  • The recipe card you can print below that gives instructions on how to assemble and cook.

This is a beautiful gift for someone to gift them a complete meal and they can assemble in a few minutes, bake and throw it all away!

There’s 2 versions of this recipe: one with the pumpkin if you gift it with the pumpkin and one without. Just print the one you want to use!
