We just wanted to let you awesome readers of ours (and if you are reading this – you are on of our awesome readers) that we, Thrifty Al and Thrifty Cas are on a thrifty road trip. We have been on a little vacation since Monday.
The fun part is that it is just the two of us! We haven’t been on a road trip or vacation just the two of us for several years! The four thrifty kiddos are at home and grandma and grandpa moved in for the week!
The first call we made home we talked to our six year old first – the oldest. Her first two questions: “did you sleep in?” and “did you go into the hot tub?” Why, well she heard us talking to our parents saying that the things we look most forward to are sleeping in (we can’t do this at home with a 6,5,3 and 1 year old!) and going to the hot tub together (as we always take turns when we travel with the kids ;)) It was very cute and so sweet that she was thinking of us (and listening to our conversations :))

Enjoy your vacation, just the two of you! Kids just say the darndest things, don’t they? Sleep in, overeat and stay in the hot tub an extra 15 monutes! You deserve it!
