Smiths Shopping Trip 11/3

So I went to Smiths earlier today with all of my girls instead of tonight because I am teaching a Money Saving Class tonight.  We ran over to Smiths, and my girls helped me count everything out.  I had my 5 year old push the smaller 2 level cart while I pushed the big cart with the baby.  My four year old was the list holder.  I teach everyone not to “piddle” around the store because you end up spending more than you intended and usually not getting good deals on those items, well today we “piddled,” but for good reason! In addition to the Smiths Mega Event, I also had some Kroger coupons that Smiths mailed to me for being a good customer.  Anyway, most of the coupons were for Kroger products and they were about to expire! So we “piddled” and picked up some Kroger things too! We had a good time and this is the result:

  • 21 Hormel Chili
  • 10 Carnation Evaporated Milk
  • 3 Kroger Veggies
  • 3 Kroger canned tomoatoes
  • 1 Kroger Ice Cream Cones
  • 2 Ricola cough drops
  • 4 Hall’s cough drops
  • 2 Zesta Crakers
  • 1 Kroger Cheese
  • 2 Banquet Selects Dinners
  • 4 Keebler cookies
  • 1 Birdseye Frozen Family Meal (this was a great deal as I had a Kroger coupon and it was part of the Mega Event – These are normally $8.00 each!)
  • 1 Ore Ida Waffle Fries
  • 2 Kroger Cottage Cheese
  • 2 Kroger Dips
  • 1 10-lb Potatoes
  • 2 Loaves Bread
  • 4 Lays Potato Chips
  • 1 Q-tips
  • 1 Bottle of our Favorite Litehouse Dressing

Summary: Spent $38.18 and Saved $92.08 – Savings of 71%!

I bought 68 items – which averages .56 an item!
