Note from The Thrifty Couple. In today’s post, our kids are sharing a recipe they created while we were busy making breakfast in a pumpkin! They took the seeds and asked if they could make pumpkin seeds. Our 11 year old daughter developed this recipe and she created the video! Last time our girls shared a recipe they did, it was a huge hit (apple flower pastries) so check out today’s from The Thrifty Kids!
Hi – we are The Thrifty Kids and we want to share a new favorite snack. Our mom loves pumpkin and so we always have lots of fresh pumpkin around the house during the Thanksgiving season.
I nab the seeds and create a special treat for us to all enjoy. I named this one Pumpkin Pie Roasted Seeds.
These are so yummy, crunchy, sweet and satisfying. We made a video to show how easy it really is. Then we also shared the printable recipe below.
Enjoy!
I had grabbed these seeds right after my mom made her latest Breakfast in a Pumpkin video. There are many things you can make with one pumpkin!
Here’s the instructions written down:
- Mix 1 TBSP and 1/4 tsp together until blended.
- Add 1.5 TBSP of melted butter and blend.
- Add the seeds and coat the seeds well.
- Place them flat on a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Bake in a 300 degree oven for 40 minutes.
- They will come out sweet and crunchy!
- You can store them for a few days to enjoy when you would like!
