We went to Smiths today which is a local branch of Kroger stores (so many of these items will be on sale at Kroger and affiliates nationwide).  We were able to get everything we wanted EXCEPT the FREE Oral-B Indicator toothbrushes.  They were wiped out 🙁 We got a raincheck, but the coupon expires tomorrow.  So we will be waiting for the next sale and set of coupons to use the raincheck on in hopes of free toothbrushes then!

Here’s the breakdown:

  • 4 Cheerios sale for $2.50 each = $10.  Then used two $1/2 7/17 Smart Source Insert = $8.00 for four or $2.00 each.
  • 2 Gallons of Viva skim milk sale for $2.98 = $5.96. Then received them for FREE with in-store promotion of buy 4 GM cereals (the 4 Cheerios above!) get 2 gallons of milk FREE = final is FREE
  • 9 Crest Toothpaste sale for $1.00 each = $9.00. Then used 9 .75/1 PG 7/3 – $6.75 = $2.25. Then received a $2 catalina for buying $6 or more worth = final is .25 for 9 or .02 each.
  • 9 Pure Ivory soap bars (these are the only ones our eczema son can use and we were about out, plus they are great for homemade laundry detergent) sale for $1.00 each = $9.00. Then used 9 .50/1 coupons = $4.50 = final is $4.5o for 9 or .50 each
  • 3 Reach Floss sale for .99 each = $2.97. Then used three $1.00/1 Reach printable coupons – $3.00 = final is FREE plus .03 overage
  • 2 Dannon Activa Yogurt sale for $1.88 each = $3.76. Then used $1.00/2 6/5 Red Plum Insert – $1.00 = final is $2.76 for two or $1.38 each
  • 1 Dannon Actvia Vanilla yogurt tub sale for $2.00 each. Then used .75/1 from mailer = final is $1.25
  • 2 Kroger All-Natural sour cream sale for $1.00 each = $2.00. Then used .40/2 store coupon from mailer = final is $1.60 for two or .80 each.
  • 1 Zone Perfect protein bar sale for $1.00. Then used $1.00/1 from mailer = final is FREE
  • 1 Smiths French Bread for Sunday dinner sale for $1.00 = final is $1.00
  • 18 eggs sale for $1.52 = final is $1.52

The total before the sale prices was $71.45.  The sale prices brought the total to $42.25.  We then used $21.40 in coupons which made our final total $20.85! This is a total savings of 72%.

So between this, our $15 produce co-op purchase, meat stock in the freezer and homemade bread – we are set for the week!

How are you getting more than 4 Crest and Ivory? P and G coupons clearly state that you are to only use 4 coupons total for items per shopping trip…just curious if you broke your trip up into a few or if your cashiers did not notice…I just went and got 4 for of each since the coupon stated those restrictions.
