MY TARGET TRIP – HUGGIES DIAPERS $4.32 & PAMPERS $3.32!

I was just thinking back tonight to six years ago when Thrifty Cas asked me to buy diapers at the store the first time.  When she asked me to buy “Huggies”, I didn’t know that there were umpteen different types!!  Fast forward to now, adding some experience (six years straight with at least one kid in diapers!!) and getting this diaper deal was just another shopping trip.

How I wish I had all these tips back then to guide me to the deals and help me understand the difference between all the different types of diapers!!  Check out below for how it all played out:

I used ThriftyCas’ Weekly Diaper Deals post to guide me through the process.  First, ThriftyCas suggests going through your stash of extra coupons to see if you might have higher value coupons that could be used! We happened to have a couple of extra high value coupons to use in addition to other printable coupons.

Target has a sale on diapers, plus when you buy three jumbo packs, you receive a $5 gift card. When you combine this deal with coupons, you can get really cheap diapers. We also, had some extra high value coupons from past promotions.  I actually did this in two transactions just to make sure that I got two $5 gift cards.

target diaper deals

Transaction #1: Huggies

  • Bought 1 Jumbo pack of Huggies Little Snugglers sale for $8.99. I then used $2/1 coupon = $6.99.
  • Bought 1 Jumbo pack of Huggies Little Snugglers sale for $8.99. I then used $2/1 coupon = $6.99.
  • Bought 1 Jumbo pack Huggies Snug and Dry sale for $8.99. Then used $5/1 coupon (one of our extra high value coupons from a past promo) = $3.99

So, I spent $17.97 for three Jumbo packs of diapers.  I then received my first $5 Target gift card. When I consider the value of the gift card – this would be $12.97 = final is $4.32 a pack.

Transaction #2: Pampers

  • Bought 1 Jumbo pack Pampers Cruisers for $8.99 Then used $2/1 PG 12/27 with a Target store coupon for $1/1  (register coupon from previous transaction) = $5.99
  • Bought 1 Jumbo pack Pampers Cruisers for $8.99 Then used $2/1 PG 12/27 with a Target store coupon for $2/1 (RP 12/6) = $4.99
  • Bought 1 Jumbo pack Pampers Swaddlers for $8.99. Then used $3/1 from joining Pampers Village with a  Target store coupon for $2/1 (RP 12/6)  = $3.99.

On this transaction, I spent $14.97 for three Jumbo packs of diapers. I then received my second $5 Target gift card. When I consider the value of the gift card – this would be $9.97 = final is $3.32 a pack.

Check out our weekly diaper deals to find out how I got these amazing deals!!
