ikea kid's eat free meals

This comes at the perfect time for those of you that are hitting IKEA for the after Christmas sales and take a bit more of a load of with FREE food for the kids too!

FREE Kids meals are happening again at IKEA now through 1/1/12. Kids choose one combo meal valued at $2.49. Kids Mac & Cheese, Chicken tenders or Meatballs with a side (veggies, fries or mashed potatoes) and a drink (milk, lingonberry drink or fountain beverage). Children under 12 only. Child must be present. Limit one combo meal per child. No purchase necessary and no coupon necessary.

Here’s an idea that we have shared with you many times before and worth mentioning again as a FREEish date!

  • Head to IKEA and immediately reserve a time slot for your kids in the play area
  • Then while you are waiting, head up to the cafe’ and get each of your kids their FREE meal
  • Then when your time has come up to let the kids go to the play area – take them there!
  • Then you and your spouse go back up to the cafe’ and have a nice quiet relaxing dinner for 1 hour just the two of you (unless you have a babies in diapers like us ;) but they can join us!)
  • Pick up the kiddos an hour later and carefully peruse the store, only buying what is absolutely necessary!!
  • This makes for a cheap date!!

Find an IKEA location near you.

Thanks Savvy Spending
