It is really quite easy to make your own concrete fire pit. With the proper prep and work, you can make one of these in a few hours and far under $50 in materials. It basically takes a bag of cement and some tools along with two bowls as the mold (one in and one out) and the cement is poured and set between the two bowls.
Then you just finish and sand it off and you have then made your own concrete fire pit!
The benefit of this version is that it is an affordable way to create a weather-resistant concrete fire pit that adds the modern and sleek look to your outdoor patio. It’s also a portable fire-pit that is sturdy and uses the gel “sterno” fuel, both of which can create a quick 30-minute post grill session fire.
