Calling all Disney Pixar Inside Out Fans! Check out this fun project! DIY Inside Out shoes – these are cute, easy, frugal and fun.  This is another project that is perfect for DIY beginners, kids and even the more experienced.  The pattern and design is easy, but it comes out well.

White canvas shoes are a perfect base for many DIY apparel projects and it is the base supply needed here again. They are also super affordable. We find them for $2-$6 per pair at stores like Big Lots, Walmart, Kmart and even craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Michaels.  If you are buying them at a craft store, they will be priced a little higher than the other stores, but just use one of those popular 40% off one item coupons and get them for a great deal. This will be the most expensive part and it really is not expensive!

How To Make DIY Inside Out Shoes from Disney’s Pixar Movie

Materials Needed:

  • 1 pair white tennis shoes
  • old newspaper
  • tape (duct tape or painters tape will work)
  • drawing pencil
  • acrylic paint (or fabric paint)….black, red, yellow, green, blue, and purple
  • small paint brushes/stencil  sponges (round tip)

Directions:

-Remove the laces from each shoe.
-Tape around the sole of each shoe so that paint will not get on it.
-Stuff each toe with old newspaper.
-Outline the Inside Out head with pencil. Left shoe place the outline of the head to the left side just an inch or so to the center.  Right shoe place the outline of the head straight on the center.

-Using the Inside Out  colors and a stencil round head sponge dot on the colors randomly on each shoe. Avoid the outline of the head.
