I spotted these Go Mama Go Wonder Bumpers on Amazon today, marked down from $109.00 to $64.66! I had never seen anything like and decided to check it out. I think it is a rather innovative idea – a crib bumper that covers each individual bar of the crib to reduce the risks of entanglement and climbing. I love this idea! My babies don’t get bumpers…or squishy stuffed animals…or, ah, blankets, for that matter…because I am just slightly paranoid about sleep safety. I put them to bed in a sleep sack and one small, firm plush toy.
But I really love the idea of a safer bumper…because those bars are hard, and babies do roll, scoot, crawl and otherwise meander about with little regard for personal comfort. Plus it would sure improve the looks of my crib – don’t you think?

I like this idea. Still seems pretty pricey, but better safe than sorry, I suppose!

I have used the breathable bumpers with both my kids and they are a lot cheaper. They are pretty much see through (and also put one across my own face and I was very easily able to breathe…also very paranoid here!) but keep you baby from bumping their head and their arms and legs from going through the slats. I tried not using anything with my daughter, but once she started moving around and after the third night in a row of her waking up because an arm or leg got stuck I bought these. They also don’t help them climb because they just collapse when they step on them!
