We feel like we sound like a broken record every week, but we had yet another busy, non-stop week hitting Friday full speed! No matter how you’ve got here, we both know what day this is – Fun Fabulous Friday!!
How does Fun Fabulous Friday work? Well, at the end of today one of our readers will win a $10 Amazon gift card. You will need to enter to have a chance to win! You can get two possible entries each today.
Each week, we have had a fun topic for everyone to leave their quick comment/insight on. It has been so much fun and help to read the awesome tips and comments that you all have.
This week is going to be – Breakfast tips! We want to hear any tip that you have on breakfast – how to get it quickly, tips on how to make it healthy, and yes, possibly and hopefully any tips how to make that breakfast thriftily as well!
Here are the two ways to enter. Make sure to leave a comment for each one as each one is a separate entry.
- This is the “mandatory” entry. We love hearing from each of you and your tips. So, this week we want to know your tips on anything concerning breakfast.
- For your next entry, leave a second comment if you are a “liker” of The Thrifty Couple on Facebook. Its not too late if you’re not a liker yet, just go to our page and click ‘Like’. We also post extra deals and information on Facebook for our readers that you will not find on the site here.
We will share some of our tips when we make the announcement of the winner tomorrow!

Try turkey bacon. Tastes like the real thing and has no nitrates and lower in sodium.

My 5 year old son loves to make breakfast, but a gallon of milk is difficult for him to handle. I got a bottle of milk, a pint?, and pour milk into that – come morning, he fixes breakfast for the family (cereal, banana’s, and milk) and feels very important because he’s helping. And if he DOES spill the milk, I’ve not lost a whole gallon!

I make oatmeal in the crockpot the night before, adding chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, milk. It’s wonderful to wake up to breakfast already made and the fragrance is a sweet bonus!

I love to make a breakfast cobbler in the crock pot. It’s sooooo easy, you just peel and slice apples, mix together granola cereal, honey, melted butter and cinnamon and pour on top. Cook overnight in the crock pot. There is nothing like waking up to the smell of apples cooking in the morning Mmmmm Mmmmm good 🙂
