Here are some EXTRA Smiths and Kroger deals this week!

First, the FREE movie tickets (or music downloads or ringtones) is going on again this week! For review, when you purchase 10 partcipating items, you receive a coupon at checkout with a redemption code on it. You then head to the website digitalchoicerewards.com to redeem your code.  You can do this an unlimited number of times, meaning, every 10 participating items, you get a reward! When you redeem, you will get to choose from the following prizes:

free movie tickets

  • 1 FREE Movie Ticket $9.50 value
  • 15 Music Downloads iTunes (prices range from .99 – $1.29 each download)
  • 15 Ringtones iTunes (prices range from .99 – $1.29 each download)

The grocery store movie ticket rewards promotions is how we have gone to the movies for FREE for the last several years! You typically have several months to use them (I am not sure yet on these ones as we have not gone shopping yet – I will keep you posted, if you go, let us know!) and we had soooo many, that we went on a few dates, took 8 of us (4 couples) to see “Batman Begins” and still ending up giving away 2 the last week they were valid! We even took the whole family to see “Bee Movie.” We actually just checked our “date coupons folder” and found 2 tickets still needing to be used 😉 Movies out are ridiculously expensive, so need to pay for them, right?!

However, a couple of cautions that Thrifty Al wanted me to point out: do not just go to the grocery store and buy 10 items for the sake of the FREE movie tickets (or choice of reward).  It will NOT save you money! ONLY purchase items if you would purchase them anyway, USE COUPONS on those items for even greater savings! Everytime that they have done these promotions, we end up saving 50-75% off the items with sales and coupons PLUS get the FREE tickets.  Anyway, there are a handful of things that could work this way.

BEST DEALS this week with sales, coupons, and FREE Movie tickets (or choice of reward):

  • Smart Balance Sour Cream $1.50. Then use $1/1 RP 3/21 = final is .50
  • Sargento Cheese $1.99. Then use $1/1 (use zip code 03104) = final is .99
  • 7-Up 2-liter $1. Then use $1/1 = final is FREE
  • So-Be LifeWater $1. Then use BOGO coupon = final is $1.00 for 2 or .50 each!
  • Starbucks Coffee $6.99. Then use $1/1 SS 3/21 = final is $5.99 (and the FREE tall coffee from Starbucks when the bag is empty 😉
  • Snuggle sheets or liquid fabric softener $3.99. Then use $3/1 RP 3/28 = final is .99
  • Nestle Pure Life water 24 pk. $3.33. Then use $1/1 RP 4/11 = final is $2.33
  • Smart Ones Entrees $2. Then use $1/5 = final is $1.80
  • Pringles $1.25. Then use .25/1 PG 4/4 = final is $1.00
  • Dannon Activia, DanActive, Danino sale for $2. Then use $1/1 SS 2/28 and SS 3/28 = final is $1.00 per each pack

So, with the above prices and coupons, you could get your FREE Digital reward pretty cheaply (along with those nice groceries 🙂 ) Here is the full list of items included in this promotion!
