So we are posting this deal today from the Target Daily Deals as you get a good discount price for one day as well as free shipping.  But admittedly, we know little or really nothing about Solar Panels! Being The Thrifty Couple, we are always learning more and more everyday about being better financial stewards and becoming “thriftier.”  We’ve never claimed to be the “all-knowing” Thrifty Couple.  But when we do learn something new or try something new that actually works and saves money, we tell you about it as an extra way to help you find that extra 2% decrease in your expenses every month that we refer to as part of our financial plan that we developed to pay off our $100K in debt.

With all of that background, we know that there is something to being able to not only save money, but be more self reliant by installing solar panels.  Solar Panel exploration is on our “Thrifty Bucket List,”  so this deal is premature for our experience! But while this deal is here, we researched this model and this is an excellent price! The next closest price is Amazon at $130 with shipping.  We also saw some other solar panels and overall, this appeared to be the best deal for this quality right now.  BUT, spending $90, we are not sure yet how those savings add up to pay for itself!

Those of you looking for Solar Panels, how does this compare to others you have seen?  Those currently using Solar Panels, do they save you money and approximately how much have you saved or save per month?

So on with the deal:  Target has the  Nature Power 6-watt Folding Solar Panel w/ Power Bank 5.0 Kit – Black on sale for $89.99 today with FREE shipping to your door! These are sold in-store for $130, so this is a good deal today.

Head to the Target Daily Deal here to see the details of this Nature Power 6-watt Folding Solar Panel deal!

Solar panels are a renewable technology capable of reducing your carbon footprint tenfold.

Not only this, but they are able to supply a household with electricity during power outages.

This proves invaluable for homes that are located in areas that experience frequent blackouts.

Lastly, they last for around 30 years and take on average around 7 years to pay for themselves.

That means, after 7 years your electricity bill no longer remains, yes you will have free electricity.

You should also think about commercial solar battery storage, because they are a game changer, allowing you to use the energy produced by solar panels more efficiently. Solar panels store excess energy produced during the day. You can install solar panels on your home just like I did, and you will benefit from lower energy bills, greater energy independence, and a greener lifestyle while protecting yourself from fluctuating energy prices.

Yes, it is possible to run a home using solar panels, inverters & Lithium Battery. Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity, which can be used to power your home’s electrical appliances and systems. This is known as a photovoltaic (PV) system. By installing a solar panel system, you can reduce your reliance on the electrical grid and potentially lower your energy bills. However, it is important to note that the size and cost of a solar panel system will depend on a variety of factors, including the amount of electricity you consume, the orientation and shading of your roof, and the climate in your area. If you are interested in running your home with solar panels, it may be helpful to speak with a solar energy professional to determine the best solution for your needs.

Solar panels work by harnessing the sun’s energy and converting it into electricity through photovoltaic cells. These cells, often composed of silicon, generate a direct current (DC) when exposed to sunlight. This power is then converted into usable alternating current (AC) through an inverter, suitable for powering homes, businesses, or even RVs. The efficiency and portability of rv solar panels make them an eco-friendly and practical choice for mobile energy solutions. In the context of RVs, solar panels serve as sustainable power sources, enabling off-grid adventures by capturing sunlight and charging batteries to run appliances and devices on the go.
