Disney Frozen Trail Mix (Party and Themed Snack Idea)

Here’s a fun, cute, affordable and EASY snack or treat for your party goers or your kids – Frozen Trail Mix. There are so many possible ways and ideas that you can use this. It is a healthier snack and treat so that allows you to use for sports events, hiking, camping all kinds of fun ways.

It motivates our 6-year old daughter to hike up the mountain with us! It is also a cute idea for a party with a Disney Frozen theme.

Really, the possibilities are endless and yet one more way to make a themed, fun food! You get to make a homemade granola, and that recipe alone is yum worthy!

Here’s how to make homemade Frozen Trail Mix (Frozen Themed Granola Recipe) 

Ingredients:

  • 4 C oats
  • 3/4 C dried cranberries
  • 3/4 C shredded coconut
  • 3/4 C honey
  • 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
  • 3/4 C coconut oil
  • 1/2 C blue M&M’s
  • 1/2 C white gum drops

Directions: 

-Add the oats, cranberries,  and coconut in a bowl.
-Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
-Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
-Allow the coconut oil to cool down just a little bit…. stir in the honey…mix well.
– Pour the coconut oil and honey mixture into the bowl with the other ingredients.
-Using your hands blend all ingredients together.
-Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper or use Pam spray.
-Pour the granola onto the prepared cookie sheet.
-Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour.
-Allow to completely cool….
-Using a metal spatula gently lift and break the granola into pieces.
-Put in a lidded container…..Add mini dark chocolate chips…..Add blue M&M’s…..Add white Gum Drops…..  – –Store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Bagging: 

-Clear Plastic treat bags
-Frozen Stickers
-Blue Card Stock – fold over and staple or glue and decorate with stickers
