We love the idea of simplifying wardrobe for the family – especially because it is a practical solution for the budget management, time management, organization and simplicity. We shared a while ago about trying to simplify our lives even in just the area of socks! We are not perfect at it because there are just some deals too good to pass up that can be a random assortment of clothing, but we also do take advantage of opportunities to simplify the wardrobe for less!

This is how a simplified wardrobe can help with time management and organization: quite simply, when we started our new sock challenge, the laundry was quicker and easier, the kids could get themselves ready faster and more independently as they did not need help in finding matches (again – this works WELL for boys as they seem to be color challenged ;)) and it can also equate to less laundry. The process of putting clothes away is also a bit slicker, less confusion, and very clear direction!
So when I find a good deal on apparel, I try to get as many colors/designs as I can in that style as it saves times, creates a more natural organization and it saves money when they are on sale! It also makes shopping, whether in-store or online, a less painful process to kill several birds with one stone 🙂
