Most of the items on that infographic cost a good bit more than $1.00.
Cassie
If you head to your local dollar store, you will find much of these. 🙂
Barbara
Yup, I agree with Nancy. Most of these things cost much more than a dollar, even at a dollar store. You should change the post title.

Most of the items on this infographic cost WAY more than $1.00. Did they mean $10?
The only thing I could feasibly get for $1 are the plant clips.
Cassie
Actually, most all of these can be done with supplies from the dollar store and do cost right around $1 from the super stores. It just takes a bit of thinking outside of the box and shopping and looking in unconventional places. Some of the supplies needed you may already have on hand like many households.

Disappointed that most cost way more than a dollar. I don’t think it’s right to claim you can take 50 day and $50 and pull off that list.

Some of these are really stupid ideas. Whiten my grout with a whitening pen? Really?!? I would have to do that weekly.

Thanks for all the tips, I found them to be helpful hints, but as many have stated most items cost more than a dollar, especially when you need several items to do the job. My dollar store also does not carry all the items you mention.
Totes can be costly, unless you find used ones at garage sale or thrift store & who knows whats been in them.
Maybe title should have been “50 low cost or cheap Home Improvement Hacks” .
But, thank you for sharing these tips.

What is the purpose of bashing the blogger? She probably was able to accomplish these hacks for a dollar each. I wondered about some of them as well, but I don’t have time to search out the sources she might have used. Thanks to the blogger for a good list of suggestions.

Hey there. I kinda find that this isn’t really a helpful “diy” article. I’m sure you have many other good blogs however, I feel a little stupid after reading this one. Many of these things are laden with chemicals. The chemicals although costing more than $1 to initially purchase, I guess you could get away with saying that each application would cost less than $1. The other thing I’m guessing is that the assumption could be made that people already have many of these items on hand. I dunno. Most of the ideas are common sense things that really don’t warrant putting in an article, but then again, perhaps there are people out there that don’t know that you can replace a sink plug for $1?

Thank you for your help! It is very important for me that the windows in my house are stylish and the interior shows my inner world! Now I am doing repairs in the kitchen and your advice helped me! I found a lot of good ideas here! I also asked for new markham window replacement https://thwindowsdoors.com/markham-windows-and-doors/ I think it’s very important!

I don’t think it’s always about cost. Indeed, sometimes it is much better to buy a really high-quality product, which may cost more, but at the same time will be much more practical. Here https://clubcoolio.com/ I find many useful things for my house and yard.

This is a great list and a nice infographic, but it’s also important to understand that a lot of home improvement projects don’t cost $1.
For example, last week I called Carlsbad Locksmith to fix my garage door and it cost me several hundred
