Welcome to day #15 of the 30-day organization challenge! The bathroom challenges finished well and we are just about ready to move on to another part of the home!  Are you excited about the results you’ve seen so far?  But maybe you need more time to catch up.  Hopefully today’s “small task” will give you a little of that much needed time. 🙂

Day #15 Challenge – Organize Magazine Rack/Basket

This is probably the easiest and quickest task yet.  This is a great task and day to also catch up a little on past tasks.  Today’s was only a few minutes – cleaning out and re-organizing the magazines.

I basically just went through the magazine basket and threw the ones we no longer needed in recycle and kept a handful of others.  I plan to make magazine holders from cardboard (cereal boxes work too, but cardboard is more sturdy) or even just buy them from IKEA as they are not real expensive, but good and sturdy! I am still working through this as I want a good permanent solution for those extra magazines that we want to keep.  The magazine holders work well on book cases and make for great organized storage.

However, our magazine center is now organized!

If you want to learn to make your own magazine holders from cardboard, you can find very good instructions on the Instructables site.

How is your challenge going? What tips do you have for a more organized bathroom?

Dear Cassie, I am in Australia, and I have not been on your site for very long . I live in a town called Townsville.
I am retired, so am extremely frugal. I think I have a good brain but I am so confused as to how I get to all your hints. You mention pinterrest that’s when I get so confused! Can I print out any of your pictures? I can’t even get past the first and second page.
What I am saying is can you give me a short tutorial to get the most out of your site.
    Sincerely Suzette

Day 14: We only have 6 towels as that is all we have room for in the overhead bin. We do laundry using our onboard Washer/Dryer in one unit.
Day 15: This was done on Day 2, as I went through all our flyers, magazines and tourist pamphlets collected as we toured southern USA this past winter.
If I have a few moments, I go through cupboards (under sinks in kitchen, bathroom and shower room sink.
Right now am designing bead angels while making them and snowflakes; otherwise I am entering supplies bought, completed inventory, and accounting ledger. Thankfully, hubby has taken over most of the meal prep as we are Vegan…lots and lots of cruciferous veggies to chop, peppers, mushrooms (lightly steamed), etc. We are really enjoying our time together, working on separate contracts or picking up beads that jump out their containers when I’m not looking…Lol
