Each week we want to encourage you to weigh in! Yes, first we mean we want you to measure your progress (whether by scale, inches/centimeters, or your favorite Non-Scale Victory method) as you weigh-in to see where you are at. But we also want you to weigh-in on how you are feeling, your struggles, your victories and anything else you want to share. We want to celebrate with you or help encourage you on – or even both!
Feel free to either leave a comment below or come over to our 90-Day Fitness and Health Challenge group on Facebook and share with us the answers to some of the following questions:
- Have you been able to keep up with your short-term goals from this past week?
- How many times did you work out? How are you feeling?
- How did your diet go? Are you finding any temptations? Maybe someone can help encourage you how to beat that exact one! 🙂
- How goes your water intake?
- Let us know any weight/inches you’ve lost (and gained – sometimes that happens)
In other words – we want to find out how you’re doing so we know how to encourage you on! Remember, there are going to be good days – and other ones. There’s going to be good weeks and not. And maybe just identifying what went wrong (if it did) will help encourage you to be even better this next week!
So for example here’s what happened with me (even though remember I’m a little ahead of you :-)):
- I didn’t think I would be able to easily lose weight due to all my strength training that I mentioned last week. But when I stopped on the scale and saw another 1.4 lb loss – for a total of 31.4 lbs lost (6.4 lb over my goal for these 90 days!) I couldn’t believe it! I did get my short term goal (for this week) of a full IronStrength workout as I’ve been implementing partial workouts and this week had my first full work out – VERY intense! Plan to do it twice (Monday and Friday) of this upcoming week (you can see my updates on our ThriftyHealthCouple Instagram account – hashtag #90dayhealthttc)
- I ran three days (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) with Thursday consisting of intervals and Saturday 10% longer time (increasing slowly…aka baby steps). I walked the other days and have upped my strength training Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Wednesday of this week will be a new barbell workout I’m excited to try! Finally, had an amazing 3 mile hike on Saturday with 1,000 ft elevation gain.
- I am really trying hard to stay within my goals on MyFitnessPal and for most of the week was successful. I’m really starting to understand (as my 90 days are just a week away!) how to eat simpler ingredients, whole grains, and make my life-long diet one of portion control with much healthier diet choices. With my birthday this past weekend I did have a couple of meals that took my out of my range but the meals didn’t affect my weight loss!
- My water intake went amazingly well this past week (much better than the week before!). Don’t forget that if you’re having troubles you can use the 5-Weeks to More Water Challenge from the fitness and health printables bundle!
- I hit the lowest weight (as I mentioned above) that I’ve been in years this week. I have gone from bursting out of my 42 inch waist to buying shorts this week in 38 waist (comfortably) and 36 (just slightly tight). I’m excited and hope to see how everything goes this last week. Believe me – this is just the start for me with this challenge as being the way I kicked off the rest of my life!!
