My first Kroger Extra deals post was getting sooo long, plus I wanted to highlight this sale separately! You can score FREE or Cheap Quaker products this week at Smiths and some Kroger stores.
This week, you can find Quaker products on sale for 5 for $5 when you buy 5 = $1.00 each.
The items included are the Cap’n Crunch Cereals, Life Cereals and Quaker Oatmeal varieties.
Here’s how to maximize this deal for Quaker Oatmeal:
- Buy 5 Quaker Oatmeal products (at least 2 of which being True Delights if included) = $5
- Then use 2 $1/1 and 2 $1/1 Quaker True Delights (if this variety is included) -$4 = Final is $1.00 for 5 or .20 each!
Also, for Utah, in the Associated Food Store (AFS) ads, there is a coupon for $3 off 5 Quaker products.
This coupon is a manufacturer’s coupon, meaning you can use it anywhere, however, I would call your Smiths ahead of time to find out if they will take it as it will depend on the store! Here’s how to maximize with a variety of Quaker products!
- Buy 5 Quaker products = $5
- Then use $3/5 from AFS ad = final is $2.00 for 5 or .40 each!
Thanks Utah Deal Diva!
Well, this deal gets even SWEETER! The Quaker Instant Oatmeals and select Quaker cereals are part of the movie ticket promotion! See the full details and other items with coupons that are listed, but you can add 5 Quaker products to your deal scenario!
Here’s an idea for the lowest out of pocket and your FREE movie tickets:
- Buy 5 Quaker oatmeals (example #1) = $1.00 for 5
- Buy 2 7-up = FREE
- Buy 1 Snuggle = .99
- Buy 2 Smart Balance sour cream = $1.00
Total out of pocket: $2.99 and FREE movie ticket! Please see the previous post for more ideas and details on this promotion! The ad says you can only get 5 Quaker products per transaction to get them for $1 (before coupons) each. However, there is no limit to how many times you can claim FREE movie tickets, so break your transactions up to maximize!

when I was looking at the movie ticket deal the cereals listed said the 20-21 oz size which is bigger than the 14-16 for the $1 cereals. so I was wondering if this actually does work and you have personally tried it, or not?

I have not, I was planning to try to go today (pending flexibility with 4 kids 😉 ), but I do know that others have tried it and it worked fine, in fact, although the ad says “limit of 5 per transaction” they were even purchasing 10 Quaker products and get all 10 for $1 (before coupons) and then receiving the movie ticket Catalina. Let us know if you go what happens! I will report when I get back!

I did this yesterday @ the Smiths on 2600 South in Bountiful…
The Life cereal worked on my first purchase…(did 10 boxes of cereal and 10 other items) and I got 2 tickets…
My 2nd and 3rd transaction I did with the Instant Oatmeal (same deal – same price) and it worked perfectly, got 2 more tickets…
My 4th transaction I bought the same combo of cereal as my 1st transaction and no ticket! The CS lasies printed it for me, but I still haven’t figured out WHY it did not work the last time…
Note… Smith’s on 2600S has a limit of $10 instant savings, so you CAN buy only Quaker products if that it what you want… and they DID take the coupons from the local ads….
Hope that Helps!
