Have you seen any of the “new” $100 bills?
They are quite cool looking and one of them could be yours!

Congratulations to Kim (infohound2b@) for winning our $100 cash giveaway!

WOW!

We are incredibly humbled, grateful and excited to have reached a huge milestone!

Today, we passed the 100,000 Facebook Fans mark.

100-k-fb-fans-ttc-smreal

We never dreamed that our little ol’ site and the two of us sharing ideas, articles, thrifty tips, frugal living and our personal story and personal lives with you would have turned into something so big.

We love and appreciate all of you and those of you that hang out with us online! We also have thousands of subscribers (not 100,000 yet :)) to our free email newsletter, hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors, thousands of Twitter followers, thousands of Pinterest followers and we want to be around for the long haul to continue sharing with you.

So, we want to show our appreciation to you as well by giving away $100 CASH from our own pocket!

No catches, no requirements, no sponsors, no additional steps…… just a straight across $100 cash giveaway to say THANK YOU and we hope you will be around for a long time too!

How To Enter:

Just leave a comment below! That’s it!!

Ideas for comments:

  • How long have you been with us?
  • What is your favorite post or topic that we talk about?
  • What would you like to see from us in the future?
  • Anything else you might want to say!

Now on with the required “legal” statements!  We will not be actually mailing the winner a $100 bill, although they look so cool. Why… well it is quite dangerous and risky to send cash in the mail.  So we will be rewarding the winner in the form of a $100 Amazon gift card or $100 cash via PayPal – winners choice!  In addition, you need to be a resident of the United States of America and 18+ years or older.  We would have loved to extend this giveaway to our international readers, but the laws are very confusing and difficult to work through…. so until we figure that out one day in the future, this is for US only.  This giveaway will end on Monday, January 27th, 2014 at 11:59 pm MST.

I’m a faithful reader of your newsletter. My husband and I were having income issues last year and your site helped us make a change. We live near a college campus and got in touch with the international programs office and applied to become a host family to a foreign student. It’s been 1 year and we’ve had 3 great students in this time. Their homestay fee pays for over half our mortgage!

I just joined your site. I was intrigued with your daily sink washing post 😀 most of all we are spending this year trying to recover from an expensive last year due to medical reasons. I then became a full time stay at home mom and am looking for new ways to save money, save time, overall just bring my house together after a very chaotic last year. Thanks!

I’m a faithful thrifty reader! If I didn’t lead a thrifty life, we would probably have our house foreclosed on and believe me, my house is old. No one else would want it!

When I am feeling a bit overwhelmed, I am so encouraged looking at at all the ideas on your web-site that help me get back on track. We live on a tight budget and it’s sometimes so hard to keep making sacrifices to make ends meet. Just know your small tips are such an up-lifter to me.

I’ve recently subscribed. Have been reading your articles on Facebook for a while. Thought about signing myself “Just A Wannabe” because that’s what I feel like. My husband & I are retired. We have very little savings, no investments. Our house is paid for, our cars are paid for. When we need a new one, we buy a used one (8-9 years old) for about $4,000. Lasts us about 8 years. I am very interested in “going green”, creating a more healthful environment for us, & saving money (saving–not spending less for something only to spend it elsewhere). You are a big part of my motivation to do this. Thank you.
