Check out this GREAT tip and recipe idea from reader Karin! With a few recycled glass jars a couple of bucks, you may be able to solve your mosquito problems!
“Here is a cheap mosquito repellant that WORKS!
I bought a bag if peeled garlic from Walmart for $1.57 enough for three quart jars to place them in the bottom of the jar. To do this, I placed two handfuls of these cloves after I pierced with a fork in the bottom of the jar. I covered this with boiling water to 1″ over the garlic cloves. Place the lid on top and place in sun for few days to fester/meld.
I have placed a jar at the front and the back doors. We had a bad mosquito problem and now there are NONE!”
Thanks to Karin for this great tip! We are going to give it a try ourselves as we live close to a lake that really attracts mosquitos!
