We have just removed the content of this post to put the following information! Why? Well, there are many potential issues with this coupon and I will explain below, we just didn’t want to send you out for only 1 out of every 10 having success.
Hip2Save has put together an explanation of the Kmart situation, so I felt that I neeeded too!
As far as the Kmart coupon goes, it currently looks like they have removed it from the site. We received comments from you that Kmart was saying this coupon was a scam/fraudulent. I am agreeable to the fact that there are many fraudulent coupons floating around the web. However, this coupon came directly off the Kmart website, which is your first and typically final clue that it is legit! It was not coming off of a link or other site! Our link here on our site took you directly to where the coupon was located on Kmart’s site to print. We then received a comment that Kmart is claiming that it was a scam/fraudulent because someone hacked into the Kmart site and changed the wording. I am not sure if this is the case, but it is the best we have to go off of right now.
While I do think that this is possible, it could also be that Kmart released this coupon yesterday not realizing the power of deal bloggers and deal seekers and the overwhelming response it received! If this was the case, a simple explanation such as “we have removed this coupon or are no longer honoring it due to an overwhelming response.” As much of a bummer as this would be, it would also be understandable. In the case of this coupon, Kmart was taking this directly out of their pocket and may have overlooked the possible response! This type of thing happens with companies on a daily basis – if one deal blogger gets it – it goes everywhere quickly! Many companies probably do not realize this and then put up an explanation similar to the one above.
Whatever the reason is for pulling it off of the official Kmart site, at this point, we will no longer be promoting deals related to this coupon. Again we do not want to send you out on a wild goose chase! If you were able to print the coupon, some may still take it – but it is at your own risk 😉 I know that many of you had success yesterday – but moving forward here I do not think that will be the case!

At this point, I am really hesitant to even promote any deals with Kmart discounts/Kmart coupons as I hate to see many have a bad experience again! However, per the research of Hip2Save, she has put together an explanation of how the Kmart doubles event will work, I am posting this with hesitation ~
- This event is for select participating Kmart locations from April 4th-10th
- You can use manufacturer coupons up to and including a $2 value (i.e. if you have a $2/1 coupon, it will be doubled up to $2 for a total of $4 off the price of the item)
- You must be a member of the Shop Your Way Rewards program AND the cashier MUST swipe your reward’s card at the beginning of your transaction!!*
- Does not include Kmart Store Coupons or Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons (i.e. Kmart coupons will NOT be doubled)
- Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day.
- If you are using more than 5 coupons in your transaction, ONLY the first 5 coupons will be doubled.
I am hoping these rules stick to not confuse us all! You will need to be a Kmart Shop Your Way Rewards member to participate in the doubles. Please see our previous post about the Shop Your Way Rewards program and for the FREE sign-up. Plus right after you sign-up, you will be able to print a temporary rewards card to use in case yours does not arrive in time!

Our local Kmart said this morning, that someone hacked into the kmart site and changed the wording on the coupon. It was suppose to be for the chicago area only and they changed in to ALL Kmart locations. It is really sad that someone would hack into the system.

That is really sad, it appeared to be legitamite since it was off of the Kmart website. My coupon printed right off the website, so someone must have hacked into Kmart’s side?

Yes from what the manager said, someone actually hacked into the Kmart site. The coupon was real for the Chicago area, someone just changed the wording to ALL kmart locations!

I called Kmart customer service and I was told the coupon is for next week. I called 1-866-562-7848 I hope the girl is telling me the correct information.

I used my coupon today. They did have to call the manager, but used it with no problems. I got more flack for trying to use the two Huggies coupons ($3off) because the cashier didn’t understand! Also, I neglected to understand what it took to get the $3 rewards, because I didn’t buy from the required items. Oh well, $1.99 for a package of diapers isn’t a bad deal!

Interesting…the story at MY K-Mart was that the coupon was for NY K-Mart’s only BUT they honored it. I’m honestly tired of the “hacked into our site” line….I honestly have a hard time believing that one especially since the $10 Sears coupon. I’d respect the companies if they’d just own up that they didn’t think it through, rather than screaming “hacker” everywhere! (sigh!)

I got the story at my Kmart in which I used them last night that they were suppose to be good for a week not a month and half or whatever the date is– and that they were for 2 new superstores in New York and Chicago– they lady (cashier) and manager were both so rude I was in at the end of the day and they said you could use them but couldnt use any other coupons with them. This is really a mess and out of hand these things are even for sale on e-bay now — When I went back today customers were walking away very upset because of a rude note on the door they were no longer accepting them
