Bright and early Wednesday morning of this week, we will be heading to Chicago for the Savings.com Save Up DealPro gathering to mingle with other frugal minds and share in thrifty shopping tips for this upcoming holiday season as we learn and share our thoughts for the benefit of YOU, all of our readers.
We are very excited about this opportunity – and it was YOU who voted us in as a couple that fit the bill to be a Savings.com DealPro.
We will be coming back with loads of information on the super savings highway to bring straight to you. We will also be presenting on Saturday with several other DealPros on Holiday Shopping tips – most specifically as it relates to Black Friday. This presentation will be a live streaming presentation and gives all of you the ability to watch all of the presentations LIVE! In addition, you will be able to “tweet” questions via twitter with the hashtag #SU10 for those of you that use Twitter to be answered LIVE by all of the DealPros. We will post more details about this later in the week.
So…. We need your help!!
For those of you that live in or near or have been to Chicago – tell us what we should see and where we should eat? We have never been and we have the opportunity to go 1 day early for a day of play just the two of us (and boy does that sound nice with a bustling house filled with laughter, clatter, playing and chaos from the 6, 5, 4, and almost 2 year old that live here!).
But we just don’t know what we should see or where we should eat on our day of play? We would also love suggestions for the CHEAP and FREE too, because you know who we are…… The Thrifty Couple!
There will be great things happening on the site while we are gone – including a special giveaway! So be watching…..
You can follow us on Twitter to keep up with all of our Chicago adventures! We will be tweeting about it all week! Also, you can follow us on Facebook as we will be leaving occassional updates about what we are up to in Chicago as well!

As far as free things, if the weather is nice, I suggest just walking around Grant Park. It’s awesome.
