We went to Walgreens this week. We have two that are an equal drive for us, one is pretty coupon friendly and the other is not. We often end up at the “not so coupon friendly” as they have a better stock due to obvious reasons (although every week it seems as if there is at least 1 item out of stock that is on our list 😉
So I went first as I was near the coupon friendly Walgreens to see if they happen to have stock for what we wanted. I was actually shocked, they had a full stock of everything we were looking for! Oh Happy Day!
These deals are still going, so you can take advantage of them too if you have the coupons!
Here’s what I bought:
- 2 Gallons of milk for $1.99 each = $3.98. Then used two .75/1 printable milk coupons – $1.50 = final is $2.48 for two or $1.24 each
- 6 rolls of Tuf Paper Towels for .99 each = $5.94. Then used the in-ad coupon to take .49 off each roll – $2.94 = final is $3 for 6 or .50 each
- 2 Carmex hand creams sale for $5 each = $10. Then used two $1.50/1 printable coupons – $3 = $7. Then received a $5 register reward for buying two, so when considering this discount = final is $2 for two or $1.00 each
- 1 Hyland’s Homeopathy Childs cough/cold syrup sale for $4.99, then received a $5 register reward = final is FREE
- 1 Infusium 23 sale for $5.99. Then used $1.00/1 from the 9/18 Smart Source Insert = $4.99. Then received a $3.00 register reward = final is $1.99
- 2 Edge Shave Cream sale for $2.79 – buy one get one 50% off = $4.18 for two. Then used two .75/1 coupons -$1.50 = final is $2.68 for two or $1.34 each
- 1 Tom’s of Maine Childrens toothpaste sale for $3.99. Then used $1.00/1 from the 9/18 Smart Source insert = $2.99. Then received a $2 register reward = final is .99
I was so excited that Walgreens actually had everything we wanted this week that Alex decided to make a run and grab a few more things too!

Summary: Between the two of us, our total before coupons and register rewards was $58.05. We then used $14.94 in coupons and received $27 in register rewards = final is $16.11
