Well, we don’t really have plans for V-day this year….finances are too tight with a 4th baby on the way! We love each other enough for it to be V-day everyday!

Instead of buying valentine’s day cards, I make my own at home and use the supplies I have on hand. They turn out better because they are homemade.

We make Valentine’s cards on the computer or use codes for online sites!

To save $$ for Valentine’s Day, I’d get a Restaurant.com discount certificate, and though it’s probably not valid on Valentine’s Day, I’d go the night before or night after to save money.

I put little love notes in my Hubbys lunchbox every day for work. If he works on Valentines day I will probably cut his sandwich in a heart shape and all extra little things like that… Hershey Kisses, Candy hearts…
Rachel
Thrifty date tips? Well, I guess Entertainment book coupons, Restaurant.com certificates, and various deal-a-day deals would be my first thought!

One year for Valentine’s day I gave my husband a “25 Reasons Why I Love You” scroll. I printed my list on a piece of resume paper (the kind that looks like parchment), rolled it up and tied it with a ribbon. There was no cash outlay since I already had the paper from a previous job hunt and the ribbon was recycled from something else. He said it was the best gift he ever received. Twenty years later, he still treasures it.

Since we are expecting our 4th child (which says I Love You enough probably:), I’m sure we’ll have a low key evening after the kids go to bed cuddling and watching a Red Box flick. It’s all about spending the time together.

My thrifty Valentine’s Day tip is to have dinner and a movie in! Netflix on demand!
Tammy Lindner
We are pretty low-key in the Valentines date dept! If we can get a grandparent to babysit then we do that and either go out to eat or get take-out and come back to our home and have a “quiet and private” ha ha evening to ourselves.

Anything homemade. It is thoughtful, thrifty and unique. It could be a card, a baked goodie, dinner or anything showing love.
