For Valentine’s day we have 2 girls so we send the night with them and have a fun night at home. We have a picnic in the living room and we roast marshmallows and make smores in the fireplace. We rent a movie and we spend the evening together as a family.
Happy Valentines Day everyone!!

We do a nicer dinner at home complete with dessert. We include the kids, and then usually watch a chick flick when they go to bed.

We love to make our own Valentines & send them out before the big day to family. Yes, stamps aren’t as thrifty as they used to be, but the grandmas (& kids) love it!

Hmmm…well, my husband and I never buy each other cards… we make our own little cards for each other (using stick people!) It shows you don’t have to be “creative” to do even the simplest things…like that! 🙂

For Valentine’s Day I usually make my hubby breakfast in bed and then that evening we make a nice dinner together, usually something new, and open up a bottle of wine. We’ll have to go sans wine this year since we’re expecting but it should still be just as fun.

For over five years now, I ‘ve been giving my hubby and two sons Valentine’s shorts/boxers I buy at Walgreens. The shorts come in different Valentine’s Day designs and have funny messages. Not only they are cute but also very inexpensive at $5.00 each and the best part is they come with a matching gift bag. To finish it up, I add their favorite chocolate candy like Twix and Kit Kat inside the bag. They look forward every year to this gift. By now they have a nice collection of Valentine’s Day shorts.

This year we will be spendig vallentines day with my best friend’s three children While their older broher undergoes heart surgery. (Isn’t that ironic!) We will try to occupy their minds by making vallentines cookies and playing games and watching movies followed by a very special vallentines dinner.

Like many others have said, it’s all about handmade and at home! I don’t want my guy to spend $50 on flowers that will be dead in a week. I’d so much rather have a handmade card.
Thanks so much for the chance to win this!
