TARGET SHOPPING TRIP – SAVED OVER 50%!

Last night – we ran some errands. We didn’t need to do a full shopping trip, but wanted to pick up some fruit and some specialty things for the holidays!

We started off having dinner at Denny’s with kids eat free on Tuesday nights! It is a great place to go as there are 2 FREE kids meals with every adult purchase – there is 2 of us and 4 kids = paying for 2 meals and getting 4 FREE.  The tab was $18.08 for all 6 of us (plus a $5 tip – tip on the before discount price ;:) – $3.01 EACH for eating out!

Also, our 4-year old is about to turn 5 on Saturday and so we needed to pick up her birthday presents – I just ran in to get it with our $5/25 purchase coupon from Toys R Us (part of the Toys R Us Birthday Club – more info HERE – would highly recommend to join as you get great coupons – PLUS your child gets a gift card (about $3) and birthday card on their birthday!)

As Target was just right there, I decided to run in there to snag some great deals on Cuties clementines.  Plus wanted to pick up the following items as they were a great deal too!!

  • 2 5-lb boxes of Cuties Clementines: $5.99 x 2 = $11.98 – 2 $1/1 coupons from SS 12/6 = Final is $9.98, $4.99 each!
  • 5 lbs of bananas = final is $2.10
  • 5 Glade candles at $2.50 each = $12.50 – 2 $1.50/2 coupons from SS 11/1 = Final is $9.50 PLUS received a $5.00 gift card back – so $4.50 for 5 – .90 each!
  • 2 Welch’s Sparkling Juice sale for $2.99x 2 = $5.99 – $1/2 Target coupon and 2 $1/1 coupons from SS 11/15 = Final is $2.98 for 2 or $1.48 each!
  • 2 boxes of Swiss Miss Cocoa – $1.02 x 2 = $2.04 – 2 $1/1 Target coupons and .50/2 coupon from SS 11/15 = Final is .46 overage!
  • 4 bags Hershey’s kisses sale for $2.24 each x 4 = $8.96 – 2 .50/1 Target coupons and B3G1 coupon from SS 12/6 = Final is $5.72 for 4 bags, $1.43 each!

Summary: 17 items for $29.82 PLUS getting a $5.00 gift card back! Not bad for picking up some fun Christmas foodies and fresh fruit! The original amount was $57.83 – about 50% savings BEFORE factoring the $5 gift card back!

There are Target Sparkling grape coupons? That’s great because I have to buy a bunch for my son’s class party.
