tangy french onion hamburger

With our series this week on putting together the complete meal (all five courses) for a perfect outdoor meal, you were probably wondering when we might get to the meat.  That would be this article!

And although this recipe may seem a bit simple, the simple ingredients add a lot of flavor that bursts through in each bite.  And when I grill, with my temptation towards making charcoal briquettes out of my hamburgers, I need all the help I can get. 🙂  Finally, I’ve also found when you add a toasted bun and a bit of a yummy topping (like avocado when they are on sale) my family will forgive me for those well-done burgers.

With that, the second recipe is uniquely my own concoction and it is super yummy and a favorite of ours!

So the name of this hamburger is Tangy French Onion Burger. You can still finish it with any of your favorite classic finishes that your family likes too.

Here’s the ingredients needed:

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pouch of dry French Onion Soup Mix
  • about 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce (or whatever amount meets your liking)

How to make:

  • Mix all of the ingredients together until they are well mixed.
  • Form patties
  • Throw on the grill and cook to desired done-ness.
