Do you own a front-loader washing machine? More specifically, do you own a Whirlpool, Kenmore or Maytag front-loading washing machine manufactured between 2001 and 2010 or an LG manufactured between 2002 and 2006? If you do, you could receive a cash rebate.
These companies are offering up to a $50 cash rebate if you own one of these machines. You don’t have to have a receipt of purchase, so if you bought it used, was gifted to you or passed down, you even qualify.
The reason for the rebate? Well, after many complaints and class-action lawsuits regarding foul odors, slimy mold and other “grossness” from a faulty design in these machines that resulted in ruining clothes, the companies responsible are offering a rebate to reimburse for repairs, clean-up, etc.
Here’s the breakdown of the rebates:
- Whirlpool, Kenmore or Maytag front-loading washing machine manufactured between 2001 and 2010 receive a $50 rebate
- LG manufactured between 2002 and 2006 receive a $35 rebate
There is a deadline to request your rebate – that deadline is October 11th, 2016. You can mail in the claim, or even easier, file your claim online on the washersettlement.com site.
Do you own any of these machines? You might as well take a few minutes and make an extra $50!
