Target has a nice deal of the day today and one that makes for a much “thriftier” alternative to the classic and expensive American Girl Dolls!
First, Target has the Our Generation 18″ dolls on sale for $14.99 with free shipping today only! This is a great price as we rarely see the “American Girl knock-off” dolls on sale. When compared to the $100+ price on the American Girl Dolls, this is like an 85% discount. I know that these aren’t American Girl Dolls, but that price difference is worth the consideration and possibly a good “fill-in” in the mean time!
The nice thing too is that since the Our Generation dolls are 18″ and the American Girl Dolls are 18″ as well, it means that clothing, accessories and the sewing kits are interchangeable between both brands.

If you are still on tonight (or even if you don’t see it until tomorrow), we would recommend you calling Target’s customer service and telling them the online price wasn’t applied when you were trying to check out. Here’s the number off their site: 1-800-591-3869. Hopefully they will honor the price with the FREE shipping due to the issues on the site.
