See the easy recipe for our Beef and Potato Casserole using our SOS mix – I haven’t taken any pictures of recipes I made using Google Recipe Search 🙂
I.LOVE.THIS…… Google Recipes search that is!
Don’t miss our Free No-Food Waste Menu Planner Download that goes hand-in-hand with this Google concept! That FREE menu planner is HERE.
I am tellin’ ya, this has been a fancy, easy, quick and “no food waste” way to meal plan and provide unique and yummy dinners for my family! I have been doing this for a few years!
Yes, Google seems to have a market on everything and be a “know it all.” But in this case, I am glad!
What is it?
Google Recipe Search features!
It has changed a lot in the few years I have been using it, but it is still user friendly! They actually got rid of a lot of the features they use to have, but it is still really cool regardless.
Now I don’t use Google Recipe Search everyday or very often, only when I am plum out of ideas on what to do with the ingredients that I need to use!
In fact, I have another even more “fail-proof” system I created to make dinner recipes with ingredients on hand – quite a slick process. I will share that later….
BUT… Google Recipe Search can be invaluable for us “thrifities” that want something quick, healthy and made with foods we have on hand!
I have talked about menu planning before, and so now I am finally sharing my process this week!
Let me show you Google Recipe Search!
Step #1: Go To The Google Homepage
Step #2: Type recipe for: (then list of ingredients you want to mix together separated by colons)
Step#3: Press Enter, and then you will see this screen
Step#4: When on this screen, click on “Search Tools” on the far right, which will provide a second menu with recipe customizing options!
Step#5: Click on the ingredients
Step#6: Select the ingredients you have on hand to use so that Google can search for a recipe with your exact ingredients
Step #7: If you would like to also find recipes that you can make in 15, 30 or even 60 minutes or less, click on the second option for cook time and select your preference
Step#8: If you are also being calorie conscious, you can also click on the calorie selector to choose what your preference is there too
Step #9: After those quick clicks, you will have all available recipes from your very selective search criteria and a dish that can be made with your ingredients, your time, and your calories preferences selected!
Ooohh….. it looks like we can make Broccoli Cheese Custard with our requirements!
HOW COOL IS THAT!! No more excuses…. dinners can be easy, quick, healthy, yummy and using all foods you have on hand to avoid food waste, or avoiding money waste by not having to shop based on a recipe, but a recipe conforms to you instead 🙂
This is a precursor and a great tip for everything else I am about to share this week!!

I guess windows 10 won’t do this? I can’t find anything like what you show. 🙁
