Kroger Design a Reusable Bag Contest and Giveaway for a $25 Cafe’ Press Gift Card!

Want to design a fun reusable bag and enter for your chance to win a $25 Cafe’ Press gift card to purchase your own design?  PLUS, just by creating a bag, you will receive a FREE reusable shopping bag to get in the store (so everyone is a winner by participating!)! Well then you have come to the right giveaway!

Let us tell you about it:

Now through May 21, Kroger is inviting customers to visit www.designareusablebag.com where they can enter the 3rd Annual Kroger Reusable Shopping Bag Contest by designing their own reusable grocery bag with Kroger’s easy-to-use design tool.

Upon submitting their entry, designers will receive a confirmation e-mail allowing them to view their final design and send to family and friends. Visitors to the site can vote on their favorite designs. The top 10 designs will be chosen by an expert panel and the grand prize winner will receive $1,000 and will have their bag design sold in stores. Four finalists will receive $250 Kroger gift cards and five runners-up will receive $100 Kroger gift cards.  Every Shopper’s Card holder who submits a design will receive a credit for a free reusable shopping bag.

Additionally, we’ve partnered with Café Press so that after participants submit their design, they have the option of purchasing a reusable canvas bag with their design on it.

New this year, we’ve added the ability to create groups. Participants can now recruit friends to design a bag and be a part of a special group; a great feature for schools, churches, neighborhoods and more!  It might be fun to create a group and have your contest entrants join your group with their design.

So, Thrifty Al and I created a bag of our own.  The cool part is that Kroger also provided us with a $25 American Express gift card to purchase our bag design! It came today and we wanted to show you!!

I say that “Thrifty Al and I created a bag of our own,” but really this is Thrifty Al’s design! He created it and I loved it! What do you think? If you like our bag too, please feel free to vote for it! You can vote 1 time per day, after clicking the link, just select your local store and it will take you right to our bag!! Our design was just approved today so we only have a couple of votes so far….. It would be so cool to see many Thrifty Couple’s toting this bag with their thrifty purchases! This was the inspiration behind our bag:

1. Our goal is to make others Thrifty Couple’s too! What a great reminder by carrying this bag!
2. Recognizing that this earth has been created by our Creator and that we have a duty to be responsible stewards of what He has put under our care!
3. We also believe in being responsible stewards to the finances and money that is also given to us by our Creator.  And since we typically shop at Kroger stores for our groceries – Kroger is a great place to be a good steward of our money too!

Thus…… we feel this bag encompasses all of those factors! You know….. money laying in the green grass 😉
