Intro from the mom of the house 🙂  We’ve been talking about our kids starting to post and share their thrifty crafts and fun on our site and so our girls think that they are ready to dive in! Please join us in welcoming Audrey (9) and Katrina (8) to our site as they dive into sharing their thrifty lifestyle too!  We totally let them take the reins on this one…they even took the pictures!
Hi, I’m Audrey. Â We saw this in a Highlights Magazine and loved this idea and wanted to make our own.
Hi, I’m Katrina. We wanted to make these as soon as we saw them because mom and dad always have a hard time finding pens or pencils easily. Â This way, they can have easy access to them all of the time. I also liked this project because it was very fun and easy.
It is very easy because you don’t need to do very much, but be creative too.
Supplies:
– Magnetic tape or Magnetic sheets
– Thin cardboard
– Colored paper
-Pen or pencil
– Scissors
-glue or tape
-Toilet paper roll without toilet paper on it
Instructions:
1.Trace the size of the toilet paper roll on board.
2.Cut out the cardboard circles.
3. Tape the circle onto the bottom of the toilet paper roll.
4. Cut colored paper and glue or tape it on roll.
6. Decorate as you want!
7. Apply your magnet on the back and hang it up on the fridge!
Additional ideas:
Instead of paper, you could use cloth or felt or foam sheets and shapes.
Have fun and hopefully mom and dad’s pens and pencils will be more organized with your help!
Bye for now – ~Audrey and Katrina~

Very creative, good job! My kids will enjoy making some of their own. They could use these to organize their small items in their room too with some Velcro instead of magnets.
