I love your website Gail, and I have made some of your Repurposed items. I would so love to have the xtra $1000.00 so that I could go see baby boy who is in the Navy stationed in Goose Creek , SC for Christmas. I have missed 3 years of Thanksgivings and Christmas’s with him and I really would love to have the money to go and see him on Christmas. I do not have a good vehicle and I cannot afford to rent a car. I so hope you consider me with this wonderful gift. Thank You for all you do!
Melanie
I would use $500 on groceries for holiday meals to give to needy families in my community and the other half to buy christmas gifts for my 7 grandkids.
jasmine duff
I would use the money for Christmas presents and craft supplies!

I would split the cash with my 3 daughters. We would then come up with a plan to see who in our little town is needing a surprise dinner or gifts for the Christmas season with each of us picking a family. We would then purchase what is needed & quietly (anonymously) surprise each family with their dinner and/or gifts at the appropriate time. This would become another lesson for my girls in giving. 🙂

I have Stage 4 lymph node cancer and recently had three heart surgeries. My medication is very expensive. Winning this prize would enable me to have a family dinner and pay some bills. Good luck to everyone.

I would spend the $1000.00 this way- 10% to my church- $300.00 to adopt a rescue dog-$500.00 to replace my basement sink and toilet in basement that i use for my in-home daycare. The remaining $100.00 would be for me to purchase crafts for my daycare kids. Thank-you for your website-i reference it often. God bless both of you for your ideas and creativity. My daycare benefits from all your hard work.

wow, $1000. Like most people, I could think of so many things both want the needs for our family. But I think truly, I would want to use a little bit of it to get a used cello for my daughter with special needs who really would like to learn. She has a deep love and connection with music, and this would bless her beyond belief. In addition, pay a couple bills, and bless some friends that we would love to bless.

I would tithe 10 % first because God gets 10% of everything, then the rest would be used to pay towards medical bills. My daughter has a rare illness and we owe a lot on medical bills because of that illness.

I would pay off credit card debt

Well over the last several years my husband has been laid off three times and right now is working at a very low paying job just to have some money coming in. He has a college degree and has had the worst luck with companies. With the ups and downs we have yet to catch up, we get close and then he gets laid off. I have been thankful to have better luck with jobs, but one salary is just not enough to catch up, so we have to watch everything. Most of the time it is pretty stressful. Right now I would use the 1000 to buy some much needed items in my house (new garbage disposal, kitchen faucet, New tires for my car) and the rest in the bank so that we dont have to stress. Thankfully to all these websites I do pretty well at getting all the deals to get what we need and Christmas, I don’t believe in a lot of gifts. Sorry so long. Thanks for letting me submit. Happy Holidays Everyone! We all deserve it.

I would use some of the money to bless others especially my mother who is going through a financial strain due to a medical issue. I would also take my children in a mini vacation away from the hustle and bustle just to focus on the true meaning of Christmas while blessing others!

melissa hartsell

If the Lord blesses me through this it will go to His service. I have a real heart to go serve on the mission field but I need $100,000 to go. I have decided that I will go to university next year unless the Lord directs otherwise and work hard while studying saving as much as possible. Once I have saved $100,000 and finished my degree (or if the Lord provides me with that in the next year). I will go to the mission field in Mongolia where I see the verse in Matthew 9 (The harvest is truly great but the workers are few” Matthew 9:37) to be true and where I am answering the Lord saying “Here I am, Lord, send me!”

I have sat here and read a lot of these comments. There are so many needs out there. Our family is not much different. The needs are many and the funds are few. I really don’t think I can answer that with taking it to the Lord in prayer and waiting on his direction. It defiantly would come at a good time for many families. what a blessing it is for a group of bloggers to want to help. Thank you also for your many words of wisdom on the blog sites.
Stephanie Phelps
I would spend it on a new stove! Mine is about to go completely out!
Ellie Wright
I would spend it on new tires for my car. It really needs them.

My husband is having surgery tomorrow and BOY would that money help towards paying part of the medical bill, so it isn’t as much of a financial burden. Thanks for the opportunity.
Theresa Corr
Thank you for this opportunity! I would give this money to my co-worker. Her husband passed away from Cancer and now she has medical issues that are limiting her ability to work – to the point that she has been unable to pay her taxes. On top of this, she has no family members to help her. This would put a smile on her face!

What a thoughtful give away at this time of year. If I had $1000 extra to spend, I would make it an unforgettable Christmas for my family and with the left overs I would donate to our local food shelf so that families in need can have the opportunity to have a beautiful family meal.. Life has thrown us several hard blows this year with my health, Christmas will be very tight because of it, but we always get through because we know how to make the best of what we have. Best of luck to you all and may you all have a blessed holiday season.

If I had an extra $1000 dollars I would pay my ex-husbands electricity bill that has been disconnected for over 6 months. He has a generator but has a hard time keeping it going. With winter coming he is not going to be able to heat his house very well. He only had electricity disconnected because he was shot during a home invasion and was out of work to recover. Once he was behind he couldn’t catch up. He always helps me when I need something done on my car or around the house that I can’t do so I would like to help him too.

If I had an extra $1000 I would pay down CC Debt! I love your website and all your money saving ideas. Your story has been an inspiration to me and how I will get out of debt! Thanks for all your generosity!
