We’ve mentioned ThredUp before on our site. In fact, we also mentioned it as a tip to save that was featured in the July issue of ALL YOU magazine (pictured above)!
Well, since then, they have now decided to make this a no-brainer kind of used clothing opportunity by not only allowing free membership, but they are giving you a FREE $10 to spend on their site for trying them out along with FREE shipping on your first order between now and October 31st! This is an incredible opportunity to try it out. Honestly, there are mixed reviews as some people have gotten exactly what they ordered or better and others didn’t get as good of used as they were hoping.
This is kinda like an Ebay for kids clothes, so they are all used, but the price is set (no bidding) and the clothing is high quality brands. The prices are reasonable and you can choose what you want. The only negative parts would be if the clothing items were not as in as good of condition as listed. We find that most every experience is a good an positive one and the negative ones are few and far between.
But with this promotion for a FREE $10 to spend and FREE shipping, you can’t go wrong in trying!
Even if you do not have kids yourself, you probably know many people that have kids and it would be a blessing for them if you got your free $10 credit and ordered around $10 worth, and it shipped to you or them for free. You are blessing them with little or not cost but a few minutes of your time. It is a good way to give.
We love this as a family of 7 with 5 little kids like us who go through clothing so quickly! This free $10 will make for some free clothing. Also, there are many items priced at around $2/50, then you can get a few items completely free! There are thousands of options in clothing, so you will just have to browse to see what you can get!
Registration is easy and FREE. It is important that you verify your registration by checking your email immediately after and clicking on the link to verify your FREE membership and to get your free $10 credit to spend to and enjoy the freebies or really, really low clothing deals you can get!
Also, you can share your referral link with your friends via email, Facebook, etc. and you will both be rewarded with credits! Just click on the “My Account” tab and then click on share to send your friends a $10 credit and get some credit yourself for doing so!

I’m wondering how to use the $10 credit (new account) AND the shipping promo code… when I get to checkout, it shows the $10 credit applied as a promo code, and I don’t see anywhere to add a second code. Any luck?
Jenny
Ooh, I’m having the same issue as Sarah. Anybody figure out a way? Thanks!

I am not getting the email with the $10 credit after I signed up:(
RedDirtGRL
I emailed customer service and they said they only allow one coupon code to be used at once.

I am not getting the email with the $10 credit after I signed up either 🙁
Brenda
I am having the same problem as everyone else too….still waiting on the $10 credit email.

Cassie, thanks so much for covering thredUP! We do have some great clothing and great deals on our site and are thrilled that you’re sharing this news with your customers. I do want to clarify, however, that offers cannot be combined. Therefore, you will see your $10 credit at checkout (it won’t appear in your Welcome email), and if you decide you’d prefer Free Shipping, you can replace the $10 credit promo code with SHIPOCT12. Sorry for any confusion! We hope your readers still like what they see! Best from thredUP.

I signed up and got an email but no $10 credit. I checked my account and it shows $0 balance. I guess this was just a way to get propels addresses to send them tons of emails ;( after signing up I’ve already received a bunch of emails and mind of them said anything about a credit.

I experienced the same as the others but shame on me for not reading the comments PRIOR to joining as it would have same me the time & frustration! Still, I think it’s a great deal for those wanting to sell but as for purchasing – I’ll stick to my yard sales as prices are better.
