My favoite vacaion was the vacation I took with my sister and parents the summer before I got married. We went to Colorado and just relaxed and ate really well! All the other family vacations we’d exhaust ourselves touring things, but this was a very lazy and relaxing one.

San Diego – lots to do and beautiful weather!

My favorite vacation was when I was young and my parents took me out of school for 3 months and we traveled the world! It was such an amazing and brilliant experience, I so wish I had that kind of money so I could do it for my children. At least I have the memories and got to enjoy different cultures, not once, but they did this three years in a row!!! I am on the staycation plan with my family now lol, but it is just as rewarding and fun I must say.

My favorite vacation is our annual family reunion, for a long weekend of camping with an extended family of almost 150 people! We pretty much take up the entire campground, and I never know everyone by name. But it’s so much fun to see everyone, including new additions (babies), and just have a good ole’ time!

My favorite vacation was my honeymoon to Vegas. It wasn’t as thrifty as it could have been (because we didn’t know about being thrifty then!), but it was chosen because we had a free place to stay.

My favorite vacation was when we went to Michigan to visit family, then drove up to Canada to Niagra Falls, then on our way home to TX we went through NY,and Ohio,we satyed in an amish town there at a bed and breakfast and ate doughnuts that were the size of our heads…good times…

My favorite vacation was the trip we took to China. And brought home our sweet little girl. These days, we stay a bit (heh) closer to home. My girl and I take a lot of day and just-an-overnight trips. Sightseeing is cheaper that way and I feel we can do more then.

My favorite vacation happened this spring. My sister, my daughter and I went to Hilton Head SC with day trips to Savannah GA, Charleston SC, and various other places. We had a wonderful 10 days. the best part was waking up every morning and head to the beach to watch the sunrise, right outside our door! Was pure heaven for me

Favorite vacation was the one we just came back from. A friend helped us get a condo in Williamsburg for $225 for the week – so we ate fairly reasonably, bought bounce passes on line (Huge savings) for 7 days for Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Water Country USA (multiple parks per day allowed) and it also covered the PARKING FEES! Got the rental car on Priceline and the plane tickets from Hotwire!. Discount book at hotel gave us 10% to 25% off area restaurants.

My favorite vacation has to be my last one. I moved away from my family 3 years ago. This year in July we had Hillbilly Christmas at the campground. It was a wonderful time with all of my family. This next year they are all coming here for the Christmas in July.

I’m a liker on FB 🙂 My favorite vacation was years ago when I went to Hawaii. I simply loved and want to go back someday (when I have the resources available–a.k.a time and $$) Regardless of going on vacation right away, my tip is to register for e-mails on airlines websites as well as other travel resources, sometimes there are offers that you can’t pass up, if you can, at least you can share the offer or a special discount code to someone you know will be going on a vacation 🙂

My favorite vacation is going to the beach. My thrifty tip is to plan ahead and buy sunscreen, swimsuits, etc. before you go and also take food with you to eat so you’re not eating out three times a day. Did I mention we will be there in three weeks from today?!!

My best vacation was to maybe Spain? I can’t decide. If we drive, we bring along lots of bottled water to conserve on stopping to get expensive drinks that are WAY hiked up. If we fly, I bring along granola bars and snacks in my bag to hold us over in airports and on flights– and sometimes to serve as breakfast.

My favorite vacation was the year we met My sister-in-law and her family in DisneyLand – we spent 4 days there then they followed us back home and spent a week then we followed them to AZ to spend time at their house!! It was like 3 vacations in one!!

We just got back last week from a trip to San Diego. We had a day at Disney that cost us only $100 for our family of 5. We took advantage of the Give a Day, Get a Day and only had to pay for one ticket and we only ate one meal in the park and packed lots of kids snacks with us. We also got a good discount on Sea World tickets. It was very fun, especially since we paid CASH!

My favorite vacation was to the Cayman Islands. My best tip about being thrifty on vacations, is to try to still cook your own meals and not eat out, that is, as long as you have a kitchen in where you’re staying.
