This week flew by quickly. We started off the week by missing our window of opportunity to order our Bountiful Basket and didn’t have much chance to go shopping. As such, we made a quick stop at our local Sam’s Club to pick up some produce – you’ll see much of it in our menu for this week. We like to keep it real and will honestly admit that it was definitely not the thriftiest produce – but we really needed to get some to tide us over until next week. The reason I share this is to explain that we really didn’t have any truly favorite deals from this week (other than the four movie tickets for $15 that we were excited to purchase – and look forward to using them on our local IMAX as the value of each ticket is up to $14!).
However, what we consider our best “deal of the week” was an amazing share by one of our readers Amy! We had commented a number of days ago about how much we love butternut squash! Amy emailed us and asked if we would like some. We eagerly replied yes and I picked them up on the way home. She also gave us a pumpkin for each of our kids as well! Amy, thank you again and we can’t tell you how excited we were by this wonderful gift. As such, this was our true “deal of the week”.
