To Whom it may Concern:
My name is LouAnn and I work at the Brewer Health & Science Resource Center here in Richland Center, WI. On the second Saturday of the month of May our local hospital sponsors a program named Celebrating Women, Celebrating Life and we have a table there and I would like to hand out FREE samples of your product. There is usually about 200 people that come through. Last year I didn’t have anything free for anyone to pick up and I see that is very important. Please let me know what I need to do. Thank you for your prompt attention to this request. LouAnn

Hi, I noticed that in the past you have provided a small amount of the Remke Biggs matchups. I wanted to let you know that Starting today I will be spending Saturdays doing the Full circular Remke/Bigg’s matchups to post on my blog cincyshopper.com. I figured I would give you the heads up if you would like to mention the post or, use a few of the deals. A lot of my site is still under construction so please excuse the mess lol. I blogged years ago before going back to work full time. I am now at home again and decided to get my blog up and going . I was looking for a contact email but could not locate one. Thanks-Jen.

MY MOTHER HAD AN EVERGREEN ONION THAT GREW IN BUNCHES. IT WOULD PRODUCE BUTTONS IN THE FALL. THEN WE COULD PLANT THEM TO GROW MORE ONIONS. WE COULD SEPERATE THE BUNCHES AND REPLANT DEEP IN THE SOIL TO MAKE MORE OF THE WHITE PART OF THE ONION. IS THIS THE SAME AS YOUR EVERGREEN ONION?

Hi, I saw your van and decided to check out the blog. Why is a website about being thrifty posting 90% about things to spend money on? It mostly seems to be discount deals on things that I probably don’t need. I think I’ll stick to my regular blog reads (MMM, ERE, jlcollinsnh, etc), but just wanted to give you a heads up as to how you may be turning away potential readers.
Alex
HI Nick,
Thanks for stopping by! I am not sure what parts of our site you looked at, but it sounds like you probably were on the coupons/deals category, which would be probably 90% of things you can buy at a great deal. But for our site as a whole, it is actually a very small percentage of it. Check out our home page, which is nothing but articles on finance and saving money (not deals) as I don’t see one deal on the home page. Check out the other categories in the menu bar as well. I think you just clicked on buttons that might not be your forte (i.e. the deals section), but many people like us posting a deal here and there too, which is why you see that under the deals section 🙂 Hopefully that helps!
Also, here’s that link to the home page: https://thethriftycouple.com/ It is broken up into two parts – finance and home!

I have a question about the recipe for the sheeting agent (aka jet dry) is the essential oil necessary for the formula? Or is it for scent? I sent my friend the recipe and she asked me the question, I thought it would be for scent but am unsure. Can you please email me the answer. I would deeply appreciate it. Candy Berg

Hi Thifty Couple.
I made the moisturizer with oatmeal using oat flour and it came out gritty. I think I may not have left it on the stove long enough. I was not sure if I should have cooked it. I do not want to throw it out, so can I blend it again or should I reheat it and blend it that way. I was thinking of putting it in a hand mixer to blend it more so I can get the grittiness out. What do you suggest I do. I got your recipe from Pinterest.
Help me if you can. Your help is much appreciated.
thanks
Melisa
Cassie
Hi Melisa,
Thanks for contacting us. First, did you grind the oats really fine before you started? In addition, cooking them longer helps and so you can certainly blend it again. It is not going to hurt the oils to do so. It is also very slightly gritty anyway. The oatmeal does not disintegrate completely, but that’s why the oatmeal does it’s job with the eczema and skin issues too! Here’s the original post so that you can read any additional comments from others that have made it!

We live in Lawrenceville, GA (30043) and I have recently begun couponing. I try to find coupon matchups when I can but know I could save more for my family of 6 as I am not currently working. Our Kroger, where I do majority of shopping, just discontinued doubling coupons. We have Publix Grocery which is more expensive but has several buy one get one free items. I don’t see Publix on your list of groceries. Are you familiar with them and if so could you send me a store link? I have just found your website and am anxious to spend time learning some tips!! Thank you! Pam
shelleyrae
This is the first time I have visited your actual web site. Found you on Facebook. I have been couponing for decades, like before bar codes! Even though we do not have many stores in the twin cities, i recently saved 46% a couple days ago at Walgreens pharmacy. A site that helps me, even though she lives on the east coast, is Living Rich With Coupons. They are on FB now too. There are links to printable coupons, and this is where i learned about stacking coupons–stores that allow use of a manufacturer coupon in addition to a “store” coupon.

I was going to start using ebates but saw a couple scam reports. Have you guys used? recommend?
Cassie
Hi Shelley, We have used Ebates for roughly 9ish years and have never had a problem and receive a check every 3 months and it is awesome! You are not sending them any money, not paying through them, not sending personal information, other than your address to send your money! It is perfectly legit and we work very closely with them as they are a key and top way to save even more!
We have even talked about it dozens of times 🙂 Here’s the direct link to them, you will want to make sure to get your $10 gift card with your first purchase of $25 or more by using this link here: http://bit.ly/1chn9X9
Also, here’s just two of many times we have talked about them:

Where could I buy that cute birthday calendar that you showed for family birthdays?
Jeri Niksich
I seen a post on Face book of a board with FAMILY written acrossit with things dangling down with dames on them for family members. Do you know how I can come into contact with the person who made this. I’d like to either order one or learn how to make one. Thanking you in advance

I saw that, too, recently and thought it was so cool! I took a screen shot with my Tablet, to remind me. There were a lot of versions, and would be easy to make one yourself. If someone could tell me how to upload a picture to this site, i would gladly do it.

Read about your use of the food processor for chopping peppers and onions to freeze. I use the onion chopper, not sure of the exact name, but it came out a few years ago. You slice what ever you are chopping and then place the slices on the slicer. Then slam the lid with your hand, raise and repeat. I love this thing. Bed Bath and Beyond has them for $20. It comes with a smaller grid of blades and a larger grid so you can choose which size. It’s quick, the veggies fall into the container, you dump out and fill up again. They are perfect little squares in size. I’ve chopped potatoes, carrots, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, etc. Tacos are a breeze with this thing. It comes with a little tool to clean the lid. I do that and just stick it in the dishwasher.

A thrift store or secondhand shop is the perfect place to find this kind of stuff cheaper than new. A lot of people buy the new gadgets right away, then don’t use them or move onto a newer easier one, and donate the old stuff. I also worked at a recycled goods store, we do clean outs after estate sales or when someone has to move/ downsize or a family member dies. Get a lot of great stuff that way. My favorite is a handheld thing to. “Defuzz” sweaters. Got it for 50 cents, saw a brand new in store for $7.99. Btw, I love it, especially for my sweatshirts and socks.

Is there any way you would share the directions to make that Family Birthday plaque you made?

Reading your remedy for sun burn with vinegar bought back a memory for me as a child . I used to raspberry pick in the summer and every morning the lady we picked for would line all the picker up and cover us in vinegar and cold black tea with a little oil in it. The recipe was 3/4 vinegar (YES APPLE CIDER) 1/4 strong black tea and 1 tablespoonful of olive oil.
Very few of us very every sunburnt but we all had beautiful tans

I have become the caretaker of my parents and I’m trying to get everything together not know what to expect in the future. I am on a fixed income as they are also. I am looking for any help or advise I can get. Need to get Power of Attorney and can’t afford to pay a lawyer. Please help. Any advise will be welcome.
Thank you

Hi Gracie.
I can help you with the above. E-mail me at the above e-mail address and we can start talking about the power of attorney and if that is the best way for you to go. I can help you prepare one if your parents are competent to sign one. I look forward to hearing back from you. God Bless You for taking care of your parents.

Hi there, I am looking to purchase the family birthday board, can you let us know where we can buy one. Not interested in making it, not too crafty on this end. Lol! We live in Canada so if we can order on line that would be great.

Hi Thrifty Couple,
I shop at Stop & Shop and Big Y in Springfield and Wilbraham, Massachusetts. I cannot find anything on the Store Matchups section of your website for these stores. I also tried to find the other list you are talking about on the website that lists more stores, but I cannot find it.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help is much appreciated.

I have a new dish washer which has a large compartment in door place which holds several weeks worth of dish washer soap. I have only used the store bought LIQUID soaps and though I want to try your homemade soap, this dispenser seems to be for liquid soap. Have you ever thought of coming up with a LIQUID DISH WASHER SOAP? I would be the first to make & use it if you did! Powders tend to make me sneeze, anyway.

Hi. You said that you work as a software engineer? I need help learning more on using android OS. A former renter in a (cocaine) rage cut my surge protector cord, so now my desktop computer won’t boot up. So i am working off an ASUS tablet and get very frustrated. I have mainly worked with PCs from IBMs first days (Apple only 2c before the PC arrived). Is there any internet site I could get free tips? I’m very frustrated with the limitations, especially printing to our wireless printer (another reuse store find for $10). And i do not have a keyboard dock for it, so am even more limited. Help!

Hello, I love your website and am in the midst of making your Ivory Soap Detergent. My quiestion is , when I grated my soap, I ended up with almost 2/3 of a cup. I know Ivory soap comes in several sizes, so was wondering if I have the correct amount.

Hi guys! My 91 year old Granmother and I are BIG fans. Just did your roasted broccoli recipe, and I added my twist, as soon as its removed from oven zest a lemon right over the broccoli. Not only are you hit immediately by the fresh tang of lemon (of which I am a HUGE fan) but the amazing fresh burst of flavor is wonderful on the broccoli itself, we actually keep it handy to snack on. We are fans of fresh steamed or roasted veggies, don’t use canned stuff. Hmmmm, guess that’s why my Grammy is 91…………..thanks for veering you do. Please contact me at
naytaz47@yahoo.com, it would tickle my Grammy

Hi. I purchased a rock at a Gem Show with a very shiny, glassy laminate type surface. The brilliant guy who sold the rock put the price on it in permanent marker. I have tried many things and nothing seems to work in getting the obnoxious number off the rock, which I was hoping to paint a scene on it. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!

I was reading about the Orrington Farms No added MSG chicken broth that was posted. Yeast extract is MSG by another name. So much deception in labelling.
