It is day #9 of our Be Intentional Challenges!
As a reminder, the 30 Be Intentional challenges this month are designed to get you on the right foot, the right track and give you energy, efficiency and organization which will propel you into a life that is able to develop an overall financially smart, happy and frugal home. We are going to have different themes each month this year (and we have very exciting stuff planned) and this month is your foundation!
We encourage couples and families to do these challenges together so the whole house can function well!
As the 30 days go along, we will be focusing on 5 areas for the Be Intentional Month:
- Self
- Home
- Budget
- Schedule
- Frugality
Here’s the first 8 challenges in case you missed them and want to get your life on the right track:
- Set and Be Strict About Bedtime
- Work Towards Waking Up At The Same Time Everyday
- Making Your Bed Everyday
- Get Dressed To Shoes Everyday
- Hydrate Yourself
- 5 Minute Stretching and Breathing Exercise
- Implement a 20 Minute Quick Clean with You and Your Family
- Menu Planning
Here’s the next quick habit and challenge that we encourage you to do:
Dinner by 10
This sounds like a funny one, and we have talked about this many times before, but we are challenging you to do it!
What is it? Well, we are just going to direct you to the original post we wrote about this by checking out this post HERE as it already explains it all! Then come back and leave us a comment to let us know that you will be participating!
One final thing….. we also have a Facebook Group where you can engage in discussions, receive encouragement and talk to others that are participating in the challenges too for more ideas! Head to the Be Intentional with The Thrifty Couple Facebook Page HERE and ask to join us there! You can also invite friends and spouses too!

Wow! This is a great one! I am very guilty of not remembering to lay something out or by the time I think about dinner it is to late to do what I have planned. I just last week added up all of our fast food spending for the past three weeks and was shocked by how much we had wasted. Thanks for this tip!

Laura, We too have the same tendency and eating out is one of our temptations (you should read here) so it was one of those “necessities is the mother of invention” and a couple of years ago, I thought to myself…”I am going to consciously think about dinner and make necessary prep in the morning.” It has helped tremendously. I hope it is a blessing for you all too! Thanks for your comment!
