A couple of days ago, we asked if any of you were dealing with an issue that we face and deal with everyday in our home! That is the issue of allergies.
Over the years, we have had many food allergies that have come and gone as well as environmental allergies. One allergy that we have dealt with for 5 years now that does not look like it is going to go away anytime soon, is a very deadly peanut and tree nut allergy for our 6 year old. All of these allergies affect how our family lives, how we spend money and how we save. We can’t just grab any deal out there, but one that is safe. This plays a dramatic affect on how we live – it isn’t an area that we have shared much with you all yet, but it is one of the big reasons we dove into couponing harder than ever 5 years ago.
We plan to share more about how to coupon, save money and be a family that has strict dietary restrictions. In addition, after asking our on Facebook page, it sounds like this is an issue (whether peanuts or other allergies) that many of you and your families have to deal with.
So we are going to start sharing deals that we find for those that live with allergies!

So thankful for this posting. I rarely find deals on these types of products. I never thought to look on Amazon for these products, only the company websites. I look at my couponing as my way to afford these products my family MUST HAVE because the other types of cookies, pastas, etc aren’t an option for us.
Unfortunately, Amazon pricing changes all day long. My price is $18 per 6 pack. Not as great of a savings as you managed to get.

Thank you SOO much! I missed that post where you asked us about that but we have been dealing with a wheat, chocolate, tree nut/nut, peanut, and very serious egg allergies for our one year old and I have been scrambling to find treats and things he can have the search to make his birthday cake was horrible but finally starting to find things I can do for him. thanks again this will be a great help to our family.

Heather, please feel free to email me for ideas, suggestions, etc. couponing40family@gmail.com
My oldest had wheat, milk, egg allergy at 1 year so had a great b-day cake! Has outgrown all but milk allergy. Nursing a 5 month old and haven’t pinpointed exact allergies (or perhaps they are just intolerance at this point in time). Tried eliminating milk, soy, corn with still same results so had to eliminate all common allergen for now. It has done the trick. I have no milk, soy, wheat, oat, egg, nuts, fish, and definitely no corn. The holidays were a challenge for me, but I managed. Thankfully I like to cook/bake and have found tons of substitutes for things.
